|21.99||Charles Helfenbein Côtes du Rhône||Cotes du Rhone|
An impressive newcomer. Born in Orange, Charles Helfenbein started from zero – his parents had no vineyards. He slowly worked his way, earning degrees in wine making as well as studying with Colombo, Delas and Dard & Ribo. He is still undiscovered, but these wines will surely become must haves for those who love Syrah and the Rhone Valley.

Unusual marriage of smokiness and bitter woodsiness
|17.99||2017 Icardi Cortese L'Aurora||Piedmont, Italy||100% Cortese|
Icardi's main tier of wines are like this: clean, pure, lively. Similar to a good Gavi except in its name (Icardi is further west in the Langhe), this Cortese is very mouthwatering with classic lemon/lime notes and some fuller stone fruit tones. Round in the mouth, with vibrant structure, crisp minerality and the grape's typical great acidity. A summer pleaser, for sure.
|15.99||2017 Brigaldara Valpolicella Classico||Valpolicella||Corvina 50%, Corvinone, Rondinella (traditional blend)|
From one of the great family producers of Amarone, a classic example of Valpolicella on the fresh side. It's a juicy, easygoing delight. Lots of red berry fruit, soft violet and spice hints, styled to be lighter and vibrant with good acidity. Really pops to life with a slight chill on it: enjoy in the yard with other refreshing summer pleasures. (2017 Spectator Top 100 Value)
|24.99||Provenance Vineyards Estate Sauvignon Blanc||Napa | Rutherford|
The aromas and flavors are filled with juicy pineapple, perfumed florals and white peach notes. Partial barrel fermentation and aging in new oak exhibits hints of a creaminess, calling to mind fresh brioche, braided with nutmeg and toastiness. This wine displays an inherent weightiness, with well-integrated viscosity and acidity. A focused profile reveals beautiful aromatics,
|29.99||Maison Rouge VSOP||Cognac, France|
Aged at least four years in french oak barrels. Maison Rouge VSOP is a curious and engaging mixture of fruit and spice. This cognac while suitable for sipping, its citrus spice characteristics make it an ideal companion for the Sazerac and Sidecar cognac cocktails.
|21.99||Charles Helfenbein Brézème||Cote du Rhone||Syrah|
A sauvage Syrah with background firm with anise and a plump fruit profile loaded with black plum spiced deliciousness. The soft tannins, full body and wild nature of this red wine works very well with gamey roast lamb, funky cheeses and robust earthy stews. Brezeme is a tiny region that separates the Rhone valley. Everything below Brezeme is Grenache based, where Brezeme and above is Syrah.
