|2017 Glatzer Gruner Veltliner||Carnuntum, Austria||100% Gruner Veltliner|
Grown in sandy loam soils in Carnuntum, the Glatzer GV is consistently one of the best valued GrüVe’s in the portfolio. Expressive and riper in this vintage, it is serious at this stage, the kind you only taste at the estate, from the tank, and wish you could preserve. This is of a class akin to a single cru Kamptal wine and should not be ignored.
|2018 Antiquum Farms Daisy Pinot Gris||Willamette Valley, Oregon||Pinot Gris|
Daisy is focused, precise, and all about refined texture, minerality and crisp acidity. Vibrant citrus and floral components blend seamlessly with pomme fruit, lemon curd, pear, river stone and metallic nuance. The wine rests on the lees for 5 months in 50/50 stainless/neutral French oak. The lees are gently stirred to build texture.
|2017 Le Macchiole Bolgheri Rosso||Bolgheri, Italy||40% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet and 15% Syrah|
There is a sure sense of precision and sharpness here with bright berry and black cherry. Those aromas show quality and craftsmanship. You would do well to pair this accessible, mid-weight wine with simple pasta topped with fresh tomato sauce."
|2018 Scarpetta Pinot Grigio||Friuli-Venezia||100% Pinot Grigio|
Scarpetta Pinot Grigio showcases some of the best sites in Friuli-Venezia Giulia for this aromatic varietal — starting with the light, gravelly soils of the Grave region. This gives it a crisp, clean minerality. Additionally, 30% of our Pinot Grigio is planted on "Ponca" soil in the Colli Orientali on steep hillsides. Produced in Italy by Coloradans.
|Shania Rose||Jumilla||Syrah and Tempranillo|
Intense deep red cherry color, a juicy, forward red, sporting a mix of cassis and blueberry flavors. Fine tannins and bright acidity with solid length and savory finish.
|2017 Luigi Baudana Langhe Bianco Dragon||Piedmont||Field blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Nascetta and Riesling|
Let's forget that this is mainly Chardonnay because the experience here is more about "Piemonte" and "Yum" than Chard. Clean, fresh aromas and loads of citrus and orchard fruit flavors that get lift from a dose of zingy citrus and a hint of slate. An exotic and delicious blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Nascetta and a tiny amount of Riesling for lime zest freshness.
|2018 Sottimano Mate Dry Brachetto||Piedmont||100% Brachetto|
Piemontese grape Brachetto is usually made into a sweet and lightly sparkling red wine, but this unusual and fascinating wine is completely dry and still. The nose is fruity, aromatic, and perfumed, with aromas of strawberries, cherries, plums, violets, earth, sage, and licorice, leading into a palate with firmly gripping tannins. A very distinctive wine.
|2018 GD Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo 'Clare'||Piedmont||100% Nebbiolo|
Light ruby color, slightly sparkling and very fresh, eye-catching. The nose opens with red fruits, vin-nouveau like aromatics, spices, gentle incense and a touch of very unique Nebbiolo stem. Mouth is vibrant, refreshing and with plenty of energy. This wine is meant to serve slightly chilled during the warmer months (14-16C) and can pair an amazing array of diverse food.
|2018 Furlani Mino Rosso||Trentino-Alto Adige||Marzemino|
Mostly Marzemino with some white grapes that grow in the same vineyard. Spontaneous fermentation, aged in stainless steel, no added sulfur and no filtering or fining. A very natural wine made from an obscure grape that rarely makes it to the states. Notes of sour cherry, dark berries and a touch of spice.
|2018 Lamoresca Nerocapitano||Sicily||100% Frappato|
Nerocapitano is what the locals in Filippo’s village call Frappato. The fruit here comes from twenty year old vines planted over clay and limestone some 430 metres above sea level at Lamoresca farm. A light, bright and nimble Mediterranean wine, which transports you straight to Sicily, with gorgeous, sun-kissed fruit and nose heady with wildflowers.
|2018 Lamoresca Rosato||Sicily||70% Frappato, 25% Nero d'Avola, 5% Moscato|
This wine has a gorgeous tone, citrus in spades and a pleasant bitterness to finish. Pomegranate and blueberry compote on the nose with strawberries, freesia and ruby red grapefruit on the palate. Summer in a glass!
|Cruse Valdiguie Petillant Naturel||Deming | Napa Valley 2017|
A refreshing blast of watermelon aqua fresca with a slight overtone of fresh baker’s yeast on the nose. An intense palate that keeps the light fruit character but mixes with a bit of rose petals and fresh earth. Ice cold it is fruity and refreshing. Left to warm it gains an earthy, serious character that is atypical of Pét-nats.
|Domaine Chapelle Bourgogne Blanc 2017||Burgundy, France||100% Chardonnay|
The Domaine is situated in the heart of Santenay, the southernmost village of the Cote d’Or. The Domaine dates back to 1893. Santenay’s terroir is unique: limestone covered by sandy loam. Situated on the south edge of the Cote de Beaune. Polished texture with aromas of orange blossom & honey.
|2018 Broc Cellars Love Rose||North Coast, California||80% Valdiguie, 14% Zinfandel, 6% Trousseau|
The fruit was destemmed, then pressed into stainless steel. All 3 varietals fermented together just over 30 days. The wine was bottled at the beginning of the year. High aromatics with juicy watermelon and grapefruit notes. Spice comes from the Zinfandel, acidity from the Valdiguié and texture from the Trousseau.
