The grapes used to compose this vintage come from three aged parcels located in the beautiful terroir of Les Chétillons at Le Mesnil sur Oger. The minerality of the chalky soil is evident in this 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay. As always with a vintage Champagne, it is produced exclusively using the grapes from one harvest year and only during the finest years.

A beautiful bouquet of cranberry, boysenberry, redwood bark, and a hint of red licorice waft from this 2014 Pinot Noir. Then an enchantingly juicy, mouthwatering palate of perfumey raspberry, red cherry and cassis roll smoothly into a perky sweet-tart, persistent, rose petal finish.

Firm and well-structured, with a pleasing burst of blackberry and wild berry, plum and black cherry notes, tilting into a fruit-bowl medley of currant and raspberry flavors, with a long, sustained finish. Drink now through 2029.

This has a lovely purple color to it, with ripe plum and blackberry aromas. In the mouth the black fruit is joined by some darker chocolate notes and a hint of spice. This is smooth and drinkable, great value for drinking now but enough grip to lay down for a couple of years.

A perennial best value in Spanish Monastrell (Mourvedre), the Altos de la Hoya bottling typically has some Garnacha blended in as well. Pre-phylloxera vines, planted to limestone soils in the cooler area of the D.O. yield grapes which are carefully harvested and respectfully vinified and aged to create this delicious value red.

The plush and juicy core of fresh raspberry flavors is impressively transparent and pure, with accents of clove, mineral and tobacco adding a lingering aromatic detail. Drink now through 2026.

The mild spring and cooler summer in Monterey County give a chance of the Pinot Noir grapes to achieve the optimum maturity with great balance of acidity and flavor, and with deep color that is characteristic of Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir. The red fruit brightens across the palate, picking up raspberry and spice are balance by the French toasted oak aromas.

1312 is still, altogether dry, a lucky blend of several 2012 fermentations. Its tannic structure comes chiefly from Dabinett, Yarlington Mill, Major, and Somerset Redstreak; its fruitiness from Golden Russet; its acidity from Wickson, Ashmead’s Kernel, and Esopus Spitzenberg. Aroma through finish, we find peach and apricot (fresh & dried), pineapple, various citrus fruits.
