In May 2014, Jean-Baptiste Adam and his family celebrated the 400th anniversary of their family being grape growers and winemakers in Alsace, France. Through the centuries family members have been leaders in their community. Now, Jean-Baptiste can count himself among the leaders of biodynamic farming in Alsace.

Gavi is named for the town which is the epicenter of the region. Its development as a viticultural district is attributed to the aristocratic, merchant, families of Genoa who built their summer homes there. These family dynasties were the first to isolate the white Cortese grape. Flower essence, key lime and lime rind, yellow apple, papaya and green mango.

From a lieu dit planted in 1986 on Bathonian limestone mixed with pebbles. Native yeast fermentation with no additions, natural malo, and no battonage. Aged in approx. 20-30% new oak for 17 month. The wines produced by Les Corbins tend to have rich texture with the classic weight of Meursault.

Ungrafted, grown in a gobelet system. 70 to 100 year old vines. 15% skin contact. Elements of intense crushed granite minerality, volcanic basalt notes, rasping salinity, chalky aromatics, and taught linear white citrus tension. Seems to have an extra degree of crystalline purity, precision and white citrus fruit intensity, that manifests itself with textural breadth.
