Even when grown in hot climates, Aglianico is capable of reaching high levels of acidity, which makes it a particularly useful vine in the Mediterranean. Meyer Lemon and tangerine, slightly floral with a delicate creaminess, and mineral lime finish. The grapes for this Chardonnay were sourced from Castillo Vineyard and Black Bear Orchards in Colorado, and Montezuma Canyon Ranch in Utah. Our Chardonnay was barrel fermented with 100% malolactic fermentation and barrel aged for 7 months in French oak barrels.

A burst of intense, rich coffee and chocolate aromas with ripe nuances of mulberry, plum and Maraschino cherries. This is one of the best Cahors we've come across here at Joy. Unlike some that lean too austere, this has a perfect balance of rustic complexity and giving fruit. Aromatically, it's intriguing with red plum and raspberry notes. On the palate, there's a long tannic finish that's supported by vibrant acidity and a note of red balsamic. Seriously delicious wine for the price.
