Elegant and full of finesse, this is deep purple in hue, polished and silky in the mouth, and extremely well balanced. The palate here features velvety tannins, spiced blackberry fruit, fragrant licorice notes and vibrant acidity. This was aged in a combination of French and American oak for 13 months.

The classic expression of Cruse Wine Co.: floral and perfumed, bright and fruity. It smells like roses; on the palate, it’s all purple fruit, with deep sanguine bitterness at the edges.

Grown just down valley from us, this variant of the noble Pinot Noir grape ripened slowly under the watchful gaze of the Babydoll Southdown sheep used to control weeds in this organically certified vineyard. A new vineyard for us, we sampled the grapes every few days to track ripeness and struggled to estimate crop yield. Crisp with great acidity.

Our 2016 is a medium ruby red in color. The wine has intense aromas of red cherries rhubarb and violet. The palate is framed by firm acidity and loaded with wild berries, allspice, forest floor and hints of crushed tea leaf. This wine is an elegant expression from a classic vintage. 4000 cases produced.
