It features delicate floral scents and ample cherry and licorice aromas. Somehow, it manages to be full-bodied and almost creamy in texture but without much weight, then it ends powerfully, with a flourish of rich Mexican chocolate on the long, silky finish. It should drink well for up to 20 years.

An elegant red, exuding cherry, strawberry, orange peel, rose, mineral and wild herb aromas and flavors. Vibrant and supple in texture, this is beautifully integrated, turning more floral on the lingering aftertaste. A light dusting of tannins keeps this focused. Best from 2026 through 2040.

Dark purple. Explosively perfumed aromas of black and blue fruits, incense, potpourri and black pepper; a minerally nuance adds vivacity. Stains the palate with deeply concentrated, spice-accented blackberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors, picking up floral pastille and olive paste nuances with air.

This is a darkly saturated and rich expression of Nebbiolo with bright aromas of dark cherry, dried blackberry, spice, leather and toasted hazelnut. This beautiful expression of Gewürztraminer opens with bright intensity and zesty aromas of exotic fruit, citrus, spring flower and cinnamon. The wine's appearance is bright and crystalline and the mouthfeel is waxy and dense.

Robert Parker called the Martinelli family "one of the great families of Northern California, & of course, one of the highest quality producers. The 2013 "Vigneto di Evo" Zinfandel has aromas of dark red fruit, Bing cherries, and hints of conifer & rose petal. The palate is medium weight with flavors of sour cherry, raspberry, & red plum skin, with a slightly earthy finish.

Paler in colour, this has a really classy, classic fruit on the nose. It has great acidity, cherries and raspberries abound. One to keep.

This is also wonderfully fresh and cool with a similar array of fruit and floral elements though here the earth element is a bit more pronounced. As is typically the case there is more volume and mid-palate concentration to the focused medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by somewhat finer tannins on the lacy and impressively refined finale
