The wine was aged in a combination of mostly neutral French oak barrels and concrete tanks. Carignan delivers the blue fruit, while Syrah and Mourvèdre add depth. Valdiguié and Zinfandel add brightness, and Grenache Noir brings it all together, adding a certain ‘prettiness’ to the wine.

The palate is crisp and beautifully balanced with a mix of ripe red fruit and spice on entry, with savory tobacco and leather notes and a broad mineral texture on the mid-palate. Fattoria Rodano has produced a bright, attractive and honest wine in this warm vintage. The 2019 Chianti Classico drinks with smooth ease and spreads warmly over the palate. The wine is infused with dark plum, cherry, spice and pressed rose. There is considerable weight and substance at the back, yet the wine is never heavy or too thick.

Porto Ferreira Ruby has an intense and well defined ruby hue, showing the quality of the selected wines. Its intense aroma is reminiscent of very ripe fruit, fine-tuned through its careful aging in wood as well as through the blending carried out during its natural aging process. The final blend has an average age of about 3 years.

Dark mahogany colour with an iodine rim. Intense floraland citric aromas, showing Moscatel varietal at its best. Smooth and rich on the
palate, reminiscent of dried fruits and spices. This wine has great length and sweetness, yet balanced by its natural acidity.

The 2013 “Vigneto di Evo” Zinfandel has aromas of dark red fruit, Bing cherries, and hints of
conifer and rose petal. The palate is medium weight with flavors of sour cherry, raspberry, and
red plum skin, with a slightly earthy/mineral finish.
