Aromatic with bright ripe black cherry & blackcurrant fruit, baking spice, savory dried autumn leaves. ripe red & black cherry, & blackcurrant fruit joined by vanilla & cinnamon spice notes on the entry. The mid-palate is fresh with sustained ripe fruit, toasty oak notes and softly textured tannins. The finish is moderately long with notes of cherry candy & blackcurrant.

The wine is clear and bright with a medium ruby color and presence of legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of cedar, vanilla, chocolate, dark plums, dark cherries, licorice and anise. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium supple tannins & flavors of cedar, vanilla, cherries and licorice. The finish is long.

Cherisey’s Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chalumaux is from vines just below Blagny, between Truffières and Meursault-Perrières. If you were a Chardonnay vine it wouldn’t be a bad place to put down your roots. The wine is loaded with white limestone and gives a very fine, intensely focused white Burgundy, très Puligny, screaming with minerality.

Domaine Dujac and brothers Eric and Lyle Railsaback collaborate to create this elegant and classic burgundy made in the whole-cluster style for which Domaine Dujac is known. From the small parcel La Justice just outside of the village of Gevrey Chambertin.

An overt and attractive toasted-oak aroma leads to assertive, smoky, buttery flavors in this traditional reserve-style California Chardonnay. Full bodied, it pulls out all the stops for a grand expression of pear, toasted almond and nutmeg flavors that are backed by ample acidity.
