The choice of this name is linked to a word used in Ancient Rome, "Giomelle", which signifies "the union of two things". A juicy, medium-bodied red with aromas and flavors of berries, a hint of tobacco and spices.

Ripasso literally means "to re-pass"...in this case creating a wine that is the middle ground between spritely Valpolicella and brooding Amarone. Ca' del Monte's version is delightfully old-world, with flavors of bing cherry, eucalyptus and smoke.
