2019 Martha Stoumen Nero d'Avola43.99Mendocino County, California100% Nero d'Avola

The beauty of Nero d’Avola is its Chiaroscuro-like nature: brightness from its ability to hold onto acidity in warm Mediterranean climates, and darkness from its characteristic forest fruits. This soulful red wine is versatile and balanced, with bright acidity, soft dusty tannins, a touch of Worcestershire, coco, and dark, wild forest fruits.

Balistreri Vineyards Albarino29.99Grand Valley AVA

First vintage. The grapes came in fairly early, but the wine is still greatly textured and full. A few days of skin contact, so yes, this is an "orange wine" and it's a bit cloudy. However, it's still ultra refreshing and has notes of wild apple and pear. The nose reminds me of some funky cider, but the fruit takes a back seat on the palate.

Balistreri VIneyards Syrah35.99CSU Vineyard - GRAND VALLEY

No sulfites, no filtering, no chemicals. 100% Whole Cluster fermented. Pretty crazy. About as spicy as anything else in this store, and maybe the most delicate Syrah my grandfather has produced. You won't find this at the winery because we're cellaring it for awhile... but I couldn't resist having some here at Joy. - Mason B
