A blend of two vineyards due to the frost damage. It has a waxy, resinous bouquet that just needs a little more joie de vivre. The palate is well balanced with lemon rind and orange pith on the entry, good depth and quite a spicy, tongue-tickling finish that you can feel a minute afterward. I like the bitter edge of this salty Saint-Aubin and it should age with style.

The Clos de la Neore is a choice parcel of the famous Mont Damnes vineyard – a grand cru spot with an ideal southern exposure and the pure chalk soil that produces the best Sancerres. Edmund Vatan went into semi-retirement in 2002, and the supply of his wines – already very small – has become miniscule. His wines are legend among sancerre fanatics. Will age 20+ years.

This rose opens with a lovely bouquet of citrus fruit, with nice notes of bitterness, bright and fresh. Mourvedre on calcareous soils brings power and elegance, while Cinsault brings roundness, juice and fruit. A gourmet rose with Mediterranean accents, spicy and colorful.

This cuvée is the destination for the fruit grown at lower elevations as well as most of the fruit from his younger vines. In Jérôme’s hands this fruit is crafted into a savory and enticing style of rosé with the structure and stuffing to last.

Very deep ruby red with a hint of violet colors of a young wine. On the nose, aromas of stewed blackberries and jam, with spicy notes of pepper. On the palate it has good acidity, keeping the wine fresh and juicy; full and weighty, with a long and pleasant aftertaste

This single-vineyard wine comes from a walled section of the Peyrassol estate. This pale, almost white-colored wine is ripe, softly textured and concentrated with serious red-berry fruits and balanced acidity. The fruitiness, the rich character of the wine and the final intensity all suggest it should be aged further, so drink from late 2018.

Clear, medium ruby. Clean nose, medium intensity, aromas of fresh red fruits (raspberries and strawberries), spice. Dry. Medium body, medium acidity, medium tannins, flavours of fresh strawberries and raspberries, spice. Medium finish. Good.

Cool nights, high altitude, and the soil help the grapes retain their freshness and allow for a slow, even ripening. Feather-light on the palate with delicate aromatics, this rose is ethereal, salty, and a mouthwatering Corsican pleasure.

The wonderfully silky texture with an added juiciness is what makes this wine so very special. The flawless and seamless nature to the wine is so impressive that it takes you breath away. Plenty of beautiful fruit but what mouthfeel. Drink now and forever.

Once upon a time, Paso Robles was under water. Whales swam where we now grow grapes! Fast-forward just a 'few' years, and the land itself is now composed of ancient uplifted seabed (calcareous mudstone), which creates an idyllic soil profile in a Mediterranean-style climate.

The Greywacke Pinotage has a deep garnet red colour with tinges of dark violet when young. The bouquet is complex with scents recalling wild berries, spice and cherries. On the palate the wine shows full body and rich dark chocolate extract with fruit flavours balanced elegantly by tannins in a long finish that reveals a sweetness reminiscent of liquorice.
