2016 Bouza Albarino14.99Uruguay100% Albarino

Pale yellow color, with golden highlights. Aromas of peach and white flowers, pineapple and pear. Moving the glass, the pineapple enhances its presence, and vanilla and caramel notes appear. In the mouth, sweet entrance with a slow evolution and a balanced acidity. Long finish.

2013 Paper Road Pinot Noir23.99New Zealand100% Pinot Noir

Has this property been making strides, or is it just the superb quality of the 2013 vintage? Either way, this is a wine worth trying. The cherry and spice flavors are spot on, as is the medium body, silky mouthfeel and long, crisp finish. Drink now–2020.

Riffault Sancerre34.99"Les Boucauds"100% Sauvignon Blanc

Les Boucauds is sourced from several plots near the cellar of Claude Riffault. They are on Terres Blanches soils – marls and clays over Kimmeridgian limestone. Very complex and precise top notes of oyster shell, chalk, peppercorn, green apple and grapefruit are just the beginning. lassic Sancerre acidity and impressive length round things out to produce an outstanding Sancerre.

2020 Patrick Piuze "Les Boutots"35.99Vaulicheres100% Chardonnay

Though technically not a Chablis, this 100% chardonnay is from the satellite commune of Vaulicheres, east of Chablis. The south-facing parcel is Portlandian chalk (less limestone but still ancient seabed). Also making this wine unique, two-thirds is fermented in neutral barrels, helping to soften the edges and lend a creamy lemon curd accent to the wine.

Patrick Piuze"1953" Aligote39.99Bourgogne

A spicy and marked citrus-inflected nose offers up a lovely array of floral elements. There is excellent volume and concentration to the middle weight and caressing flavors as the old vines are very much in evidence. This clean and nicely dry finish is not especially energetic but overall, this is a lovely aligoté that could easily be enjoyed after release.

Patrick Piuze Les Roncieres74.99Chablis Premier Cru

Offers up attractive aromas of green apples, white flowers, lime zest and rock salt. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and pure, with good concentration, tangy acids and a bright, delineated finish.

Patrick Piuze "La Grande Vallee"54.99Chablis

A slightly riper but similar nose also offers up an admirable level of Chablis typicity. There is a lovely sense of tension suffusing the somewhat more tightly wound flavors that ooze a discreet minerality on the super-saline, dry and chiseled finish. Impressive quality here and worth investigating.

2018 Patrick Piuze Valmur169.99Chablis Grand Cru100% Chardonnay

Valmur is one of the ripest grand crus of Chablis, with its hilltop location & southwest aspect, this vineyard produces wine that is opulent & aged in used barrels to add texture & depth. Despite this warm microclimate, this wine has great length & elegance, & maintains vibrant structure & minerality. Piuze's grand crus all benefit from cellaring before they will reveal the depth of their character.

2017 Patrick Piuze Les Preuses149.99Chablis Grand Cru

slightly riper nose exhibits notes of freshly sliced white peach, pear, citrus zest and plenty of classic Chablis elements. The wonderfully rich and seductively textured medium weight flavors are at once opulent and refined while offering terrific finishing punch and outstanding depth and persistence. This too is excellent and very promising.

2014 Domaine Santa Duc 'Habemus Papam'64.99Chateauneuf-du-Pape

So good! Refreshing to see a 2014 on the shelf as it stands in contrast to the plump 15's and ripe 16's. This has a subtle game quality that underlines the barely riped dark cherry fruit. Further, notes of bay leaf and garrigue let you know this is classically made wine instead of manipulated bullshit. - Mason

Camp Chardonnay19.99North Coast, California100% Chardonnay

Pretty insane value for a natural made, small production California Chardonnay. I love the aromatics and the steely acidity balanced against slightly ripe tropical fruit notes. Don't miss this wine!

NO new oak on this wine! For fans of stainless steel expressions of Chardonnay.

Les Hauts de Lagarde Blanc14.99Saint Laurent du Bois60% Sauvignon Blanc | 40% Sémillon

Clean crisp flavors and feel the verticality even on the nose. Love the mouth watering aspect here, this is high acidity, but for me it is well matched by minerality and clean bracing citrus and honeydew. Lovely, with good structure.

2021 Pedro Parra y Familia "Imaginador"29.99Itata Valley, ChileField blend of mostly Cinsault along with Muscat, Semillon, Carignan and Pais

When it comes to the dirty business of wine, Pedro Parra is obsessed! He hunts out the best plots and growers based on unique Chilean compositions, all the sites for this juice were planted over 200yrs ago, with some vines as old as 70yrs.
