The "Symbiose" is a selection of vines which are grown in amphibolites soils. Sharp steely minerals, up front brightness with nice reach across the palate and a good juicy length. Just a touch more density across the palate with a broader sense of texture reaching through the finish.

Fresh and open aromas of strawberry sorbet, pomegranate and plum draw the nose into this bottling, but it's the black-tea and dewy pine-needle aspects that hold the attention. Tremendous energy bursts forth on the sip, full of incense and forest herbs that bolster the delicious wild, just-plucked cherry and other red-fruit flavors

Maravedíes are an ancient form of currency once used in Castilla and 30,000 Maravedíes was the amount that Don Alvaro de Luna paid a local monastery, centuries ago, for the land where Bodega Marañones is now located. It is a fitting name for this “village” wine made from three terroirs that Fernando farms: Marañones, Andrinoso and Dehesa.

Prunecchio is the name of an old vineyard on the Sammontana estate that yields only 500 cases of this delicious field blend. The result is a deeply aromatic wine, which flits from gooseberry to white peach, from acacia to spring posies, and on to tarte tatin. A wonderful any-time-of-the-day wine that can enjoyed as an aperitif, or paired with simple fish and pasta dishes.

Vinified in concrete tanks and aged in oak barrels for 6-8 months. Ruby red in color with ripe red berries, wild cherries and tobacco on the nose. Beautifully textured with balanced tannin and acidity on the palate. Deliciously traditional Umbrian wine - and an incredible value!

The 2016 Chianti Classico is a terrific wine and perhaps the best vintage made thus far. The wine opens to a medium dark appearance with pretty layers of wild cherry, redcurrant and mild spice. Badia a Coltibuono always does a great job of expressing the cool and somewhat wild nature of Gaiole in Chianti.

An admirably pure nose speaks of essence of red currant, raspberry, cherry, spice and a whiff of orange peel. The sleek and intense medium weight flavors possess a lacy mouth feel while exhibiting really lovely delineation on the subtly mineral-inflected finish. Sheer refinement and grace, it's the best here plus it should age effortlessly.

Local, all-natural aodani plums are soaked in Tozai sake for over three months resulting in an incredibly balanced sake with tart, juicy acidity on the finish.
Aromas of almond and marzipan followed by plum, apricot, and cherry on the palate.

Aromas of clean honeydew rind and grainy rice with a touch of earth. Soft and rich but maintains tightness and structure. While zesty cantaloupe and dry anise dominate up front, the finish is dry with white pepper and jasmine notes.

Try with tuna tartare, grilled prawns with lemongrass, apple and jicama slaw, goat cheese with lavender honey.

Our California Pinot Noir is a medium bodied wine which displays aromas of strawberry, cherry cola and raspberry fruit. On the palate, the Pinot offers bright and approachable flavors of cherry and strawberry combined with subtle layers of spice. The bright acidity combined with sweet oak results in a lingering finish.

This very enjoyable Rioja Oriental Gran Reserva marries Tempranillo with a little Graciano and comes from the La Pasada vineyard, located between 700 and 800 metres. Chalky, fresh and showing the class of the vintage, it has notes of cedar wood and wild herbs and a core of still youthful black cherry and bramble fruit. Light tannins and juicy acidity keep this focused.

a dry elegant style rosé with a beautiful light pale pink color. The fresh and lively wine offers bright aromas of watermelon and raspberry with flavors of wild strawberry, citrus zest and hints of melon. It is soft and flavorful on the palate with a long crisp finish.

From Bussières, a tiny village just west of the town of Mâcon, this delicious Pinot Noir is grown from the ‘Les Clos’ vineyard by Hélène Thévenet and her three sons. Elegant and ripe, the wine is a delicious mélange of blackberries, black cherry, and wild, complex notes of smoked meats, earth, and exotic spices.
