Terre des Chardons "Marginal"29.99Costières de Nîmes Rouge80% Syrah, 20% Grenache

These "gress" stones regulate soil temperature and allow for proper drainage, ensuring balanced maturity levels for the grapes. They also force the vine roots to plunge down further into the bedrock in the search for water, giving a unique minerality to the resulting wines. The regional mistral wind aerates the bunches and reduces the risk of vine disease.

Carmelo Peña Santana "Ikewen "29.99Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain)100% Listán Negro

Canary Island native, Carmelo Peña worked in Chile, Douro and Bierzo before coming back to focus on the recovery of abandoned vineyards in Gran Canaria. Everything is done natural and biodynamic with partial whole cluster. The finished wine was bottled unfined, unfiltered and with very little added sulfur. Fresh, vibrant and unique.

Viña Somoza, Valdeorras Via XVIII29.99Galicia, SpainMencía, Alicante Bouschet, Mouraton, Merenzao, and Gran Negro

The VIA XVII is a red blend from several parcels with varied soils, elevations and expositions. The grapes were hand-harvested and whole-cluster macerated for 30-42 days in open plastic tubs, then pressed into 400 & 500L French barrels for fermentation and raising on fine lees over winter with regular battonage, and given a light filtration before bottling.

Haykin Family Ciders Jonathan17.99Aurora, Colorado

This apple is intensely flavored, with a powerful combination of tart and sweet. It is one of America's classic heirlooms, discovered in 1826 in Woodstock, NY. It ferments white-wine like, with baked apple character, juicy fresh plums, and minerality. It is bright and refreshing, yeasty yet fruit forward. Apples grown at Ela Family Farms.

Haykin Family Ciders Manchurian Crabapple17.99Aurora, Colorado

This tiny apple originates from Northern Asia and is usually overlooked - it is used as an orchard pollinator but rarely for anything else. We believe this tiny fruit is exceptional and we showcase its strong tannin, lasting acidity and beautiful flavors
ranging from pear to yellow stone fruit.

Haykin Family Ciders Summer17.99Aurora, Coloradoinger Gold, Melba, Pristine, William’s Pride, Akane, Summer Rambo

On the Front Range, summer apples ripen in July and August. Their flavors tend toward a lively and sprightly acidity. This cider is evocative of summer with bright, fruity notes of vanilla, lime zest, and crisp green apple. This blend includes dozens of summer varieties.

Haykin Family Ciders Harrow Pear12.99Aurora, Colorado

Harrow Pears are a Canadian variety that produce a lot of tannin when grown in Colorado. It ferments into a rich perry, with a lush and juicy aroma, like a virtual bite of a ripe and melting pear on a warm day with notes of pear drop candy, lime and tonic water, offset by clay and minerality for balance.

Haykin Family Ciders Colorado Crabapple15.99Aurora, Colorado

Many Colorado crabapples are exceptional. They foraged crabapples all over the state with over 20 varieties blended in this bottle. Together they invoke notes of Meyer lemon, Ponderosa, chalk, slate, white wine, and honey suckle. This should be your go to cider to convince your wine friends to drink cider!

L'Hermitiere Poire De Normandie18.99Normandy, France

L'Hermitiére is produced in Perche, the southeast portion of the Calvados region of Normandy. The Poiré (perry) is made only with natural fermentation, pure pear juice, unpasteurized and bottle-conditioned. It has a fruity aroma with light lemon and citrus notes and tart mouthfeel, similar to a great unoaked white wine.

L'Hermitere Cidre Brut15.99Normandy, France

L'Hermitiére is a sparkling Norman cider that in my mind sits roughly halfway between the greats of Clos Normand and Etienne DuPont on a few dimensions. Cidre Brut is lively and complex, with the delicate aroma of ripe apples, leather, and freshly mown hay. These ciders can be enjoyed for years while gaining complexity as they age.

Plop! by Manuel Michelini16.99Blanco De Semillón (2018)

This is a decidedly "millenial" wine in both style and target audience, but it happens to be made by one, as well. Manuel Michelini is the early-20-something son of Gabriel Michelini, the man behind Zorzal and Gen del Alma, two of the the Uco Valley's most forward-thinking and avant-garde projects. Already the young Michelini is turning heads among critics and consumers alike .

CHAMPAGNE, ‘RIVE GAUCHE-RIVE DROITE’ GRAND CRU BRUT, HEBRARTChampagne, France50% Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay

This is his nod to the old school. Made in barrels, natural yeast, unfiltered and never cold stabilized. We generally want the best in life. Here are the BEST of the BEST. Grand Cru's!, Pinot Noir from Aÿ: Pruche, Cheuzelles,
Longchamps, and Chaffour. Chardonnay from Grand Crus in Oiry, Chouilly & Avize: La Justice, Montaigu & Les Robarts. Enjoyment has never been Easier!

Aubry Brut54.99Reims, Champagne55% Pinot Meunier, 25% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir, 5% Arbanne, Petit Meslier ad Fromenteau

Nearly half of it is reserve wine, and more than half of that from a solera going back to 1998. If that sounds like a recipe for delivering complexity, you’re right and won’t be disappointed! Bittersweet perfume suggestive of gentian and iris mingles with intimations of fresh lime and sea breeze that in turn manifest themselves on a seductively silken palate.

Aubry Brut Rose64.99Remis, Champagne50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier

1er Cru for this price? . . good luck! Plus shipping from anywhere yeah right! Oh and this is THE Grower who has the goods. A very serious, structured wine endowed with considerable focus and thrust in its intense minerality. There is tons of personality, yet I sense the wine’s aromas and flavors are somewhat reticent today owing to this wine’s relatively recent disgorgement.

LE NOMBRE D’OR CAMPANAE VETERES VITES, AUBRYRemis, Champagne25% Chardonnay, 25% Arbanne, 25% Petit Meslier, 25% Pinot Blanc

If you want to taste History this is your bottle. This is the only Champagne that we have that is made from the ancient (and now almost extinct in Champagne) varietals of Fromenteau (pinot gris) Petit Meslier & Arbanne. The last two are unique to the region; they are black skinned grapes that were quite widely planted before the phylloxera louse invaded Champagne. Bon Apetit!

CHARTOGNE-TAILLET ‘CUVEE STE.-ANNE’Montagne de Reims, Champagne50% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Meunier

I drink a lot of this wine at home, and every bottle makes me glad. It’s a Champagne of impact; it’s just earthy enough to be marked as a grower but just polished enough to indicate fine Champagne. It’s full of character, solid enough to be toothsome, silky enough to gliss across the tongue. Base wines are unfiltered. 80-20 steel to wood. Average 32-year vines. – Terry Theise

Cantina Zaccagnini Dry Rosé Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo 2018AbruzzoMontepulciano

Editors Choice . . and mine too. A wild strawberry and herb aroma carries a slight balsamic edge on the nose. The palate is well rounded and juicy in feel, with delicious red cherry and strawberry flavors that are honed by bright acidity and a tangy slick of wet stone. Cherry skin astringency marks the close, extending the fruit flavors into a medium finish.

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey69.99Pernand Vergelesses "Combottes"

One of burgundies finest talents, this is the FIRST YEAR EVER that Joy has been offered an allocation. These wines are sublime and ethereal, yet grounded with innate structure. Pernard is located just below the Grand Cru of Corton Charlemagne, and has a similar terroir. This is a rare wine and worth savoring.

Jaimee Motley Mondeuse

Pax's young protegee Jaimee Montley's second vintage. I figured these wines would be "good" , but then after tasting, I was blown away. This Mondeause, which is a suitcase clone smuggled out of France by her and Rajj Parr is fantastic. Peppery and wild like Syrah, with intense iron and blood notes, but somewhat lighter on it's feet though. Only a few cases made it to Colorado and I have a feeling it's going to be harder and harder to get as the word gets out...

2016 Dalla Valle Vineyards Collina100.9952% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39%Cabernet Franc, and 9% Petit Verdot

This newest offering is a compelling testament to what Dalla Valle’s hillside blocks are capable of producing. Blended mainly from the fruit of the estate’s young vines, Collina, which means “hill” in Italian, is intended to be enjoyed upon release—although, like all Dalla Valle wines, it will continue to evolve for a decade or longer.

Matthiasson Schioppettino44.99Napa Valley

Wild! Super peppery, aromatic and interesting. This is the second vintage and a huge improvement over last years. This year's not only tastes like actual Schioppettino, but is one of the finest we've had. - Mason

Scar of the Sea Seven Leauges Chardonnay39.99Santa Maria Valley, California100% Chardonnay

The wine is aged in barrel and stainless steel for a total of 17 months. Extended lees contact, a late bottling, and wonderful vineyard blocks make this wine magic. Breezy, vibrant and focused, with beautiful linearity, this wine is consistently one of our favorites to produce. Only 150 cases made!

Jamet Cote du Rhone49.99

Jamet is one of the finest winemakers in Cote Rotie and the world at large. His wines are incredibly difficult to find, but when you do, they are some of the most intriguing and beautiful examples of what rhone can offer. Obviously the red is Syrah based, but the white is 50% Marsanne, 25% Viognier, 13% Roussanne, 12% Grenache Blanc

Matthiasson, No. 2 Matthiasson VineyardNapa ValleySchioppettino

The wine is 100% Schioppettino. The wine is a non-vintage blend of 1 barrel of 2016 wine and 2 barrels of 2017 wine. We loved the combination of primary and secondary flavors that the non-vintage blend gave us. The Schioppettino has fascinating flavors of cedar, black pepper, violets, and raspberry. It has lots of acid and stony minerality.
