A great example of balance out of 2015 - a vintage that sometimes shows too much power. This producer rides the fine line of elegance and depth with great red fruit character and a long but soft tannin profile. There's some oak here, but it's well integrated. You can tell they tried to make a serious wine, even though it's only village level. Good stuff.

Moncuit's NV (2015) Brut Blanc de Blancs Hugues de Coulmet is a very pretty wine. Citrus, sage and floral notes are nicely pushed forward in this creamy, inviting Blanc de Blancs. Medium in body, the Hugues de Coulmet has terrific energy, especially in light of the warm vintage. Best of all, it is a superb value. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Disgorged: June 2018.

Concrete and Stainless fermentation and Neutral French oak ageing. Focused on the Cuadrilla Block vineyard that began as a way to provide education and knowledge to the full time year-round vineyard workers they employ. The wine is a pure joy to drink. It's fresh, fruity, and smooth as silk. The wine possesses and amazing contrast between dark plum notes as well as bright red cherry. The wine is medium bodied on the palate with mild tannins to give it some grip. You could put a light chill on this one. I plan on drinking this through the holidays.

From the lieu dit "La Moutte" this tiny production rosé is from mostly 45 year old Cinsault planted in 1970, and 10-15 year old Mourvèdre and Syrah. Cold maceration for 6 hours in the press and slow pneumatic pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with occasional lees stirring.

Dark violet-red in colour with aromas of black cherry, strawberry, flinty minerality and a trace of peppery spice. Blackberry, black cherry, tangy cherry, plum, earth and crushed white peppercorn are accented by silky tannins and fresh acidity. Dark fruit and an herbaceous hint linger on the dry, fruit driven finish. Clean and pure, a spectacular expression of Montepulciano.

Salt. Acid. Vibration. After four years, the return of our Skin Contact Concrete Egg Fermented Semillon holds nothing back. It is a tea party in the woods with fermented lemon and electric fennel. The skin contact rolls through the wine with fine tannins and a long textured finish.
