In the winery Frank Corneilssen work follows the same philosophy of using what nature provides him. There are no industrial yeasts, sulfites, or anything else added to the wines. All of the wines are fermented in small, neutral tanks and no wood is used in the cellar in order for all the wines to express their specific territory to the full extent. SO GOOD! Chamomile, almond butter and cookie dough are complex aromas from this exquisite white wine grown on Hahn Family Wines Lone Oak and Smith Vineyards. Aged for 10 months in 35% new French oak, 65% neutral oak, the resulting balance and elegance is apparent. Mouthfeel is sumptuous but not necessarily creamy. Acid is lean and tight, with a line of minerality.

This wine’s bouquet charms with scents of bright cherry, red fruit, and cedar with slightly toasty notes. On the palate, round soft tannins with a mouth full of cherry flavors, finishing with mellow acidity.

These head-trained Pais vines are planted on very old soil of granitic, sandy loam formed by Chile’s coastal mountains. Pais Viejo is 100% naturally-vinified using century-old winemaking techniques. A lovely expression of Cabernet Franc. A fresh and lively style with the typical more aromatic representation of Cabernet. This wine is made very young with no oak ageing and fermented and aged in tanks for less than one year. A historic Chateau in the region of Blaye on the right bank of Bordeaux. This property is in conversion to organic and no sulfites added.

So crazy delicious! This fresh rosé packs a punch! It is high in alcohol but you would never know. It drinks super lush and elegant with fresh strawberry on the palate. This is a very small production wine made with love. The wine makers only practice organic or biodynamic farming.

Pierre Fenals has slowly patched together a collection of vineyards in Burgundy, with some tiny plots he owns and others he manages and farms.. Everything here is textbook Aligoté, not too aromatic on the nose, but still revealing hints of citrus peel, white flowers and salted lemon. Stones and underripe stone-fruit, very mineral and sharp on the palate.

From the north-east corner of Italy, this Cabernet Franc has a very rich and complex nose of ripe red and black fruit mixed with white pepper, licorice and spices. Beautifully structured on the palate with fine tannins, and a long finish of wild berries, pepper and coffee notes.

Fermented in stainless steel tanks with the use of indigenous yeasts, Ventisei Rosso receives partial carbonic maceration, which adds that candied-fruit flavor we all love. Fresh raspberry & cherry notes, with delicate underbrush and sweet spice. This Super-Tuscan style is reminiscent of Cru Beaujolais, with fresh juiciness, nice grip, and a clean, mineral finish.

Count yourself lucky if you buy this wine. Only 12 come to Colorado. This is from Graillot, who is Crozes' top producer in my opinion. However, this particular bottle is special in that it comes from his best barrels making it the top expression of both the vintage and varietal. Truly great Syrah.
