Deep ruby. Aromas of blackberry, cherry compote, vanilla and woodsmoke, with a spicy overtone adding urgency. Fleshy, spicy and smooth in texture, with very good clarity to its bitter cherry and dark berry flavors. A licorice quality builds on a sharply focused finish shaped by youthfully firm tannins.

The NV La Guita Manzanilla has always had a very strong and marked character of brine, green olives and mustard seeds, with an overall sweet sensation. The medium-bodied palate is precise, very dry and intense, with some brine and rancio flavors and great length. The quality of this wine has increased notably in the last few years, and represents very good value.

Recent research has identified the particular character of the underlying soil: a deep layer consisting of more than 60% hard limestone “galets” (large smooth pebbles). it is fermented and aged in cement vats and is bottled in the early spring following harvest. Only 6,000 bottles in the US.

Brilliantly ruby red in color the wine has aromas of fresh red fruit, like plums and cherries as well as floral notes of rose and violet. The 2013 vintage has excellent structure and is supple on the palate with an elegant return to the red fruit notes on the long finish.

Showing a mineral-laced profile of sweet cherry, strawberry and white flowers, the 2015 Gigondas Rose is medium-bodied, clean and classy on the palate, with bright acidity emerging on the finish. Best with food, it nevertheless has the freshness to drink nicely on its own.
