This wine dances through life soaking it all in & enjoying every moment on it's own terms. It's thirst quenching & fun, at the same time interestingly complex w/flavors all working together. Lots of lemon/ lemon zest with a bit of tart not quite ripe apricot.

The 2016 Artigas feels a lot fresher and has better integrated oak than previous years. They used some full clusters to ferment it with selected and indigenous yeasts, and it matured for 16 months in French oak barrels. It's very fruit-driven, juicy and fluid, with a mixture of berries, spices and Mediterranean herbs, aromatic, open and attractive. The palate is medium-bodied, with fine tannins and integrated acidity. Drinkable and pleasant.

The tawny gold color belies the youth of this wine, and sure enough it's moved ahead on the aging curve to where it is already in a prime drinking window. Full-bodied, chewy and tannic, it's a potent wine with an assortment of herb, citrus and tree fruit elements all in a pleasing tangle. Drink through 2030.

"The 2016 Gigondas Vieilles Vignes is ripe, concentrated, modern styled effort that has loads to love. Black raspberries, garrigue, spice, and violets notes all emerge from this solid effort that has full-bodied finish, and a consistently powerful effort from Tardieu-Laurent. Gigondas as it should be- with soul.

The 2016 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Faconnières, blended with 70% whole-bunch fruit, aromatics of mineral-infused black fruit, crushed rose petals and hints of dried quince. Generosity from Morey-Saint-Denis. The palate is medium-bodied with fine but firm tannin, with blackberry and traces of tobacco. Impressively firm grip, density, and weight in one punch. Lovely.

The heirloom varietal of wheat used here produces a soft and floral whiskey with a bright clean finish. Aromas of apple orchard and orange blossoms appear on the nose with notes of honey and marmalade. Toasted notes of cereal grains and a presence of nuttiness comes through on the initial attack. The mid-palate finishes cleanly with notes of burnt brown sugar and vanilla spice.

Laws named this in honor of one of the world's first cultivated grains, Hordeum (aka wild barley grass). It's a little funky on the nose, with mushroom and leather notes prominent, followed by toasty cereal grain aromas. The palate is husky and heavy with lumberyard and barrel char notes, with an undercurrent of beef jerky. Fans of single malts will know what to expect here.

Old Forester made 1910 to commemorate a special bourbon bottled after a fire at the distillery that year. A second stint in a heavily charred barrel yields a whiskey with a nose that offers layers of buttercream, sticky toffee, cedar and apricot, and a smooth palate of sweet oatmeal raisin cookie and milk chocolate, caramel corn and a nice spice finish.

This artisan handmade mezcal includes two varieties of wild agave. It is slightly smoky with an herbaceous undertone that rests on the center of the palate. Citrus and floral notes from the Barril are introduced and strengthened by the warm viscous finish of the Mexicano. It's a luscious mezcal that's great for those wanting an intro to the spirit.

The Estate Riesling Kabinett is made to showcase the traditional, lighter style of Riesling from cooler, higher-elevation parcels adjacent to the top sites (no Kabinett is made from the single-vineyard sites, only Spätlese and above). The 2016 Riesling Kabinett is light and lovely, with lush exotic fruit aromas and a poised balance of bright acidity and lacy natural sweetness.

This single malt Scotch whisky matured in Sherry casks is released in batches of about 800 bottles from a single cask. Although no two casks are the same, and therefore won't produce an identical single malt, the casks are carefully selected by Balvenie's Malt Master and feature a consistent, rich, spiced character, complemented by hints of elegant oak. --Master of Malt
