Really, really nice Carneros Vermentino from Ryme Cellars. Apricot on the nose and then butterscotch candy and dried apricot on the palate. Gold in color from extended skin contact but not heavy. Slightly more round and savory than bright or acidic. A great introduction to the amazing world of orange wine.

Freedom Hill consistently delivers intense smoky, black fruit and brown spice aromas with just a hint of violet. Palate is medium weight with round, ripe tannins leading to a savory pit cherry, blackberry finish. Lots of power, but never lacking in finesse. Fermentation is done with ambient yeasts and then aged for 15 months in barrel, all French oak with 40% new oak.

Bon Marché is a value wine produced by Buehler Vineyards in Napa Valley who primarily produce estate Cabernet Sauvignon as well as some old vine Zinfandel. Aromas of toasty oak, spice, black cherry, plum and vanilla carry over to the palate and are engulfed in a
mouth-filling, flavorful, juicy package. This wine was crafted for immediate enjoyment.

This wine is a very pure and bright expression of Carignane. These dry farmed vines were planted in 1870 and continue to produce small quantities of amazingly concentrated fruit. It is fermented with native yeasts and spends 10 months in neutral French oak barrels before going to bottle unfiltered. It is bright, spicy and rustic, a wonderful wine for the table.
