This is a Jim Beam classic. Dark char notes and medium-high spiced notes take over the aroma along with apple and dark caramel. Bittersweet notes come along on the palate with vanilla, baking spices and menthol. Again the bittersweet flavors come through on the finish. Serve this with a giant ice cube or as an Old Fashioned.

This Bernard Magrez wine is a great value. Plenty of structure and grip on the palate. Decant one hour and it evolves nicely. Quite spicy. This bargain is the perfect party wine -- a great crossover wine for California Cabernet lovers. It has strength but is finely balanced.

The 2016 Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico is a very nice wine that shows a smooth texture and a delicate approach that grows in intensity. There are small-berry aromas with cassis, wild raspberry and dried blueberry, which would spruce up any pasta like a Sicilian pasta alla Norma. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months

This wine opens in pretty aromas of rose petal and lavender, inviting one in with additional tones of dark cherry, raspberry and black tea. Textured and robustly layered, it shows components of dried herb, turned earth and clove on the palate, finishing on supple tannins and mild oak.

A whisper of anise comes and goes on the bouquet, but big lingering notes of blackberry, and black pepper show – the rounded, opulent palate shows intense ripe black fruit. The barks of pineapples are infused in Plantation 3 Stars rum, which is then further distilled. Separately, the pineapple is infused in dark rum. Amaro Nonino Quintessentia is an digestif amaro that is grappa based, and infused with a blend of many herbs, spices and roots, including gentian, saffron, licorice, rhubarb, sweet and bitter orange, tamarind, quassia bark, chinchona bark, and galenga. Nonino is a bit less sweet, less bitter, and lighter in texture than other amari. It's great alone or in cocktails.
