A classic tank-aged cuvée from vines planted in 1996 when Gilles took over the family domaine, the 2018 Crozes Hermitage Papillon a Leonie et Lucie features notes of black cherries and licorice. It's medium to full-bodied, ripe and silky, with savory hints of cracked pepper and black olives on the finish. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.

Named in honor of La Spinetta founder Giuseppe “Pin” Rivetti, this Nebbiolo/Barbera blend is supple and silky with an alluring aromatic presence of dark berries, shaved chocolate and hints of leather. The wine opens with the approachability and fruity appeal of Barbera, but continues with the length and elegance of Nebbiolo, each grape perfectly complimenting the other.

Saint Cosme Saint-Joseph is produced from 100% Sérine, an ancient and local variety of Syrah that is markedly different from modern selections. It is more oval, with lots of space in the bunch, resulting in a very aromatic wine. It is sourced from the climat Malleval in the northern part of the appellation near Condrieu.

The 2016 features a woody, vanilla-toned fragrance with some delicate cherry fruit. In the mouth it's a latticework of well integrated tannins with lacy acidity draped over deep hedgerow fruits, followed by some subtle wood spice on the long finish. This is one to leave for a few years, but there's so much potential here.

Perfect for summer or lazy afternoon, the wine exuber-ates aromas of red berries, melon and candy. The aromas follows through on the palate with nuances of lychee and pear adding to its enticing character. Certainly thirst quenching and whimsical.

The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume is performing very well indeed in bottle, wafting from the glass with aromas of citrus oil, crisp Anjou pear, lemon curd, wheat toast, oyster shell and acacia flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with excellent concentration, lively acids and a delicately fragrant finish.

Fermented naturally from 20% whole cluster fruit in small open-top bins. The wine was aged for a total of 19 months in neutral French oak barrels. Blaufränkisch is like Pinot Noir's goth cousin, deeper, darker with more sanguine iron minerality, yet still with prettiness and nervy acidity that make for a fine pairing with everything from cedar-plank salmon to kielbasa!

The unifying concept behind the latest in this ongoing series is three aged bourbons blended to create a smooth and unique expression. Waves of caramel and baking spice meet depths of oak and smoke. Dried figs and dates round out this complex, aged Kentucky bourbon. On the palate, lively bursts of fruit and spice evolve into an enduring, balanced finish.

Two years of finishing in a Portuguese Ruby Port barrel enhances the wonderful fruity notes of Laws' flagship four grain bourbon that was already aged three years. A nose of golden raisins, figs and dried cherries flows into hints of figs and Christmas pudding. It finishes with nutmeg and light tannins for a unique whiskey-drinking experience.

Part of a trio of expressions announced in 2018 (which also included a 12 Year Old and a 20 Year Old), this 16 year old Mortlach single malt is drawn from sherry casks - the rich sweetness complements the intense spirit that the distillery is known for.
