A tiny corner of Italy tucked into the Swiss Alps, the Valle d’Aosta has quietly been making some of the most exquisite wine for centuries. From one of the top producers in the area comes this marvelous blend of 5 aromatic varietals that will make you pine for days spent in the Alpine air eating cheese and hearty stews.

A celebration and tribute to macerated, skin-contact wines, this is a beautiful and unique experiment. Made from 60% Gruner Veltliner feremnted on the skins for 21 days and 40% direct-pressed St. Laurent juice with whole berries of Kerner and Ribolla Gialla floated in it, this "orange wine" shows some of the complexities and aromatics of so called 'white' grapes.

The skins of Pinot Gris are actually pink and so if you treat it like a red grape like Vincent Fritzsche does you can make a beautiful pale, almost rosé wine. The grapes in this one come from 30 year old vines in the LIVE certified Dion vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains. Picture the brightness of Pinot Noir with a touch less color but a hint more spice and savory flavors!

The fruit for this Chardonnay comes from the Coastview Vineyard - a 2,400 ft elevation site in the Gabilan Mountains overlooking the Monterey Bay. The grapes are foot crushed, and left on the skins for a day before pressing into neutral barrels for fermentation with indigenous yeasts, 8 months aging sur lie, and finally finished in stainless steel. Flint, sea foam, Anjou Pear.

Pale lemon-green in color, San Benedetto Lugana offers appealing notes of peaches, citrus, bananas, and herbs, which are underscored by crisp acidity and supple body on the palate.

Deep aromatics from the volcanic Canary Islands "Terruno" offers red and black fruits complemented by peppercorns, purple flowers, licorice and an earth driven minerality. Intense focus and clarity with a lengthy finish. This wine will need a little air to get to her best so leave open or decant for serving. A food wine, think gamey meats, braised meats and red sauce.

Growing up the son of famous “Gang of Four” Morgon producer Jean-Paul Thévenet, Charly Thévenet was exposed quite early on to traditional, more natural viticulture—a philosophy that his father & friends helped to resurrect in Beaujolais in the early eighties. An outstanding bottling from the Beaujolais’ most exciting rising star. This whole-cluster fermented Gamay is lively and fresh, marked by notes of juicy red fruit, tart acidity, and soil-driven undertones. Pair with margherita pizza, charcuterie boards, or game.

Brilliant ruby red with hints of crimson. Cherry and floral on the nose, with a hint of anise. Dry and medium bodied with ripe red fruit, bright acidity and smooth tannins. A very food friendly wine, pairs well with hearty Italian fare and spicy dishes.

The nose on this special release is approachable with vanilla cream and poached peach, caramel wafers, vanilla covered almond, and a gentle touch of oak spice. On the palate, vanilla, peach and apple with sweet caramel, toffee, more vanilla, and spiced cherries. The finish is lengthy, with rich fruit fading into oak spice and baked peaches.
