Almost every red wine gets its color from being fermented on the skins. It is much more rare to ferment green or gold skinned grapes with their skins and when it's done the result is often referred to as 'orange wine.' This macerated Verdicchio from the east coast of Italy has beautiful flavors of yellow flowers, dried apples, herbs, ginger and marzipan. Luscious and full-flavored!

LAN Reserva is a traditional style Rioja, aged 22 months in oak barrels. Intense, bright cherry red with garnet tinges. Complex, with an elegant symphony of black fruits and forest fruits wrapped up with aromas of vanilla and spices. Full bodied with silky tannins and a very persistent and pleasant finish.

The “Dinamo” project is a collaboration between father and son Danilo and Simone Nofrini, and Danilo Marcucci whose wish was to embrace the kind of wines that he used to make as a child with his grandfather. Together, the Nofrinis and Marcucci have succeeded in creating wines that are pure and natural.

The 2019 Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes all hails from the lieu-dit “Les Messagelins” which has unusually iron rich soil. The wine is aged in old barriques and sees minimal sulfur addition. It is nutty but not oxidative with powerful orchard fruit aromas and a touch of spice on the nose. The palate is concentrated but there’s zippy lemony acidity.

A perfect entry into the world of orange wines, Dinamo leads with flavors of orange rind, marmalade, dried peach, lemon, earth and turmeric. A light tannic structure and a suggestion of sage generates a savory herbal perfume. Macerated for 8 days, spontaneously fermented, and aged in fiberglass tanks.

After macerating Pinot Bianco and Friulano grapes for a couple days, this white takes on scents of dried peaches and pineapple with a golden color, while flavors of dried apples, pears, apricots and almonds inform the palate. A lush and slightly tactile mouth-feel gives the wine depth and texture. Distinctive, layered, and splendid!

Barely off-dry wine (with 15 g/l of residual sugar), this bottling offers a stunning and pure nose which screams Mosel as beautifully scents of freshly cut flowers, white peach, a dash of whipped cream, a hint of blood orange, and slate emerge from the glass.

Casas de Enriba comes from Laura Lorenzo' 20-year-old vineyard lying on the steep slopes of the Xares Rivertwo; south-facing parcels of young Mencía on granite with a mix of gravel, clay, gneiss, quartz, etc. The certified biodynamic wine is floral and mineral, with fine tannins and vibrant acidity.

Red fruit aromatics: cherries, strawberries, a hint of quince, woodsmoke, spices, with the overlay of fresh violets. The palate to the wine is bright, full, and tangy. It has a pretty core of fruit, good soil signature, ripe, moderate tannins, and bouncy acid. Voillot is a top tier producer; for 2019, this is declassified Volnay, and it shows it's elegance and depth. Lovely!

Here for a good time & a long time - Yamada Shoten has brewed sake since 1868 & is one of Japan's smallest kuras. Savory & rustic style with smoky, nutty aromas that transition to flavors of fig, orange, muscat & clove spice. Pair with miso-glazed salmon, mushroom dishes & charred meats or veggies.
