his wine is intensely concentrated and even a bit backward right now, in the best way. So much tightly wound complexity here…just a wow of a wine! Carlo and Dante love whole cluster pinot noir (100% in fact) and raise the wines in mostly neutral wood. There is a wildness and vivacity here that is super intriguing and is constantly changing with air.

There's good concentration to the aromas of bramble berry, wild cherry, violet and hibiscus, offering an enticing mix of fruit and earth elements. The medium-bodied palate is juicy in tart cherry and blackberry flavors, with pretty floral accents on the sides. The tannins are resolved yet supportive while bright acidity and a tangy mineral note push everything along.

Volcanic soil and a dry micro-climate come together to produce a richly structured wine with crisp acidity and long spicy finish. Look for notes of currant, other dark fruit and raspberry jam. Try pairing with classic roasts or a charcuterie board.

One of the older vineyards that Bize works with. Planted in 1972, this wine is whole cluster pressed to create great complexity. Flavors of red cherries, crushed rose petals, and sweet spice. Chalky tannins and bright acidity lead to a mouthwatering and seriously delicious finish.

Ranked #6 from top 20 Whiskies of 2021; This lightly-peated whisky is golden and bright, offering honey and fresh pear aromas. The silky palate opens mellow and smoky, then reveals a hint of pear, finishing long and toasty on hints of lemon zest, ginger and clove.

The nose has a honey sweetness with touches of baking spices, toasted oak, caramel, and a hint of dark fruits. The taste has a good balance of sweetness and spice, with touches of clove and allspice complemented by peaches, apricots, and a hint of lemon. Honey, butterscotch, and a hint of oak add complexity in the background. The finish is long, smooth, and fades away gently.

Spring-like aromas of sweet herbs, green apple, orange and lemon zests appear on the nose. The palate is much richer and more autumnal, with flavors of roasted kettle corn, toffee, candied apple and a generous swath of maple syrup coating the tongue. A big wallop of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and a hint of rosemary add to a slightly hot, toasty finish.

This Pinot Gris presents concentrated aromatics of pear, citrus, and spring greens. Pome fruits and crushed fennel. The racy natural acidity is complemented by a texture that is round while still being dry and light.
