Acetic aromas with a boost of horse hair and saddle leather drift swiftly above the turbulent champagne-like effervescence. Falling still like a still rose wine, the flavors wash the palate with a soft grain sweetness with toasted savory and light nutty nuances.

The flavor profile almost seems endless: rich roasted coffee, chocolate, vanilla, chicory, bourbon, molasses, smoked grains, roasted malts, chocolate malts, peat moss, cold brewed coffee, caramel, espresso, brown sugar, Hershey's dark chocolate bar, cocoa powder, charred wood, oaky/woody bourbon barrel notes and black licorice seem to be enough to list.

Gold to copper in color with a very hazy complexion. There's a fingernail of off white around the rim and a bit in the center. The nose only brings faint apricot. I taste apricot, pear, and champagne. The mouth is highly carbonated, crisp, and refreshing.

Tastes of the apricots with a bit of tartness and spice. Apricots lead off with a nice tartness. Malts add in a bit of grainy sweetness. A bit of earthy hops come next. This leads into some yeast spice with notes of clove, pepper, and some coriander. Finishes with a lingering tart note.

From the Lost Slough Vineyard in Clarksberg, planted in sandy loam & clay soil that contains shells and was once below sea level. This aromatic white is fresh & light with notes of green apple and asian pear. Picked at 21 brix, only light filtration at bottling with minimal SO2 additions, fermented in stainless steel.

La Folie comes from plots in the village of Champigny itself with vines ranging from 15-50 years in age. Clay and limestone soils. Hand-harvested. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. From one of the best producers in Saumur, la Folie shows the range of style of Cab Franc. Not light and fresh but not dense and chewy-Folie always falls right in the middle! As natural of a wine as you can get without showing any fault or flaw.

The 2012 vintage was great in Oregon. A warm vintage for us, yielding well ripened fruit that is distinctive for its plush texture. Silky and rich, yet just enough restraint to keep the wine lively and well balanced. Aromas of brown spices, ripe plums, raspberries, toffee and floral notes are forerunners of the mouthful of flavors that follow. Supple tannins and vibrant acidity

Delicious little wine with just a touch of sweetness. Honestly, one of the best values in Riesling out there. Pairs great with spicy food like curry, but also pleasant to just have sip. Great acidity too.

Giving up lots of white cherry, underbrush and spring flower notes, the light pink colored 2015 Cotes de Provence Esprit Gassier Rose is medium-bodied, nicely balanced and has good acidity that comes through on the finish. It's another high quality rose from this estate that's well worth drinking.
