A newer cuvée of YoYo’s, made up of Grenache and Carignan purchased from a small neighboring parcel. Fresh and lively!

A newcomer for us, but no newcomer to natural wine. Jean-Louis Tribouley started making wine in 2002, alongside Laurence Manya-Krief of Domaine YoYo, and still works in and amongst the same collective that includes YoYo, Les Foulards Rouges, and Domaine Leonine. He now works 10.5 hectares of Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Macabeu and Grenache Gris.

“Une Île” is Gard at its finest. Mostly Mourvèdre with a touch of Cinsault, this extremely light red displays all of the textbook herbal and slightly savory qualities of this style we know and love. Some percentage goes through carbonic maceration before being pressed and aged in stainless steel. A winner.

This off-the-beaten path Galician white wine is beautiful. A delicate overtone of elderflower is layered with a mineral-laced underpinning and flavors of nectarine, white cherry, lime sorbet and graphite in this bright, elegant white. Food pairings for this wine are authentically made for salty Galician seafood stew, sardines, and anchovys. Elegant and delicious!

Located just outside of Siena, this wine from San Felice is really amazing. The aromas of cherry, raspberry, and sweet violets bring us a dry texture on the palate, subtle tannins and fresh, crunchy acidity. At its best when partnered with antipasti, full-flavored first courses, and red meats. Versatility, friendliness, and flavor in one bottle. Exceptional for the price!

Only about 10% of this Bordeaux-like red is aged in newer oak barrels before bottling, resulting in plush but serious dark fruit driving this deceptively simple old world wine. Bergerac is just inland from Bordeaux and winemaking here goes back many centuries more. Enjoy this red with steak frites, a mushroom omelette or roast vegetable lasagna.

Mariah Vineyard is located 2,400 feet above sea level on Mendocino Ridge, 6 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Planted in the late 1980s and has been producing truly exceptional fruit ever since. Certified Regenerative, the highest level of farming. Mariah is surrounded by Redwood forest giving the wine a unique site-specific nose and texture that only mountain fruit can offer!

The vines for this wine are located on two different slopes of the famous Renaissance Vineyard. The Syrah & Grenache come from an opposing western facing slope at higher elevation with steeper gradient, but much more fertile soil compared to the bare rocky slopes where the whites are planted. This creates a savory, complex style of Rosé that is ideal with a great meal!

Planted at an elevation of 1200ft, the slopes are much gentler, more like rolling hills than steep mountains. This rare blend really shines and proves Mourvèdre can be ethereal, spicy and elegant! The label is a fun cartoon for a fun wine - chasse patate is a cycling term referring to a rider who is stuck in between the peloton and a break away. Light, bright yet savory!

The original Cult Cabernet! Sourced entirely from one of the most historic vineyards that no one knows about, the Renaissance Vineyard. The 2001 “Swan Song” is likely just that: The final release of these deliciously complex, rare birds. Taken From Granite is a wine drinking experience like no other, and anyone who has an affinity for California wine, or for old-school Cabernet in general, cannot miss the opportunity to grab these historic last bottles!

As you can probably tell from the color, it lives somewhere around that sweet spot where soulful rosé becomes light red. But who cares about the category when all you can think of is “fuckyeah! is there more? is there enough??” Extremely drinkable and fun wine, while still at ease in all kinds of situations, be it poolside or at a fancy table laden with all sorts of treats.

Eric Nicolas farms biodynamically in the Coteaux du Loir, a cool, northern Loire Valley outpost. “Le Rouge Gorge” is pure Pineau d’Aunis from old vines on flinty clay soils, vinified with native yeasts and minimal sulfur. Whole-cluster fermentation and aging in used barrels preserve the grape’s spice and lift. A precise, peppery expression of a rare variety from one of its finest stewards.

This ‘petit négociant' managed by Jean Mounard works with select, organically inclined growers around the Loire Valley to produce small production wines, raising the bar of the category. 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown in classic limestone—citrus, elderflower and some gooseberry notes with a lovely mineral character.
