This unusual domestic Gruner from Oregon comes from the biodynamic Johan Vineyards. Winemaker Morgan Beck mixes direct press juice with some macerated on the skins and then ferments with native yeast in oak barrels. The usually light and neutral Gruner grape here shows rich and exotic ripe baked apple and luscious fresh cut herbs. A stunner of a wine.

This grape is rarely seen outside of its ancestral home of Friuli in northern Italy. A wild Pet-Nat from vineyards just east of Oriol's plots in Alella. Mostly Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo) with 30% Moscatell d'Alexandria, the color is a deep rosé, with perfumed, floral aromas from the Moscatel, and tangy red fruit from the red grapes.

The recommendation is to stand the bottle for 2 days and open it very cold!
