Vette is named for the imposing peaks that rise above its Sauvignon Blanc vineyard, and it is the true height of refreshing crispness and earthy minerality. Straw yellow with greenish highlights. This wine has an aromatic fragrance with the typical hints of white peach, green peppercorn over a pleasing note of sage. Cellarable for a few years as well!

From 50-70 year old vines grown on black sandy soils at nearly 2200 feet above sea level on north side of the Mt. Etna. Made from Bergeron apricots from the orchards of Jean-Louis Chave and crafted by superstar Burgundy producer Jean-Marc Roulot. The apricots are pitted and infused into a neutral spirit for several months, creating a sumptuous, creamy texture with a subtle nuttiness, vibrantly fresh apricot flavors, and apricot blossoms. The Estate Vineyard bottling is both delicious and unique, because it shows a particular aspect of this Ribbon Ridge vineyard. The vines produce bigger, bolder, plumper and more succulent fruit at a young age than the older vines’ wines. Therefore this bottling is the richest and most precocious of all our Estate Vineyard.

It's not every day that you find a CDP that leads with acidity over its tannin and extraction; the main cuvée of the domaine is just that. Two-thirds of the blend comes from Grenache vines that are older than 50 years. The old-vine Grenache is made in concrete tanks to preserved freshness, resulting in a wine that is supple and youthful without excessive tannins.
