In a tiny village in the northeast of Italy, Saša Radikon produces arguably the finest skin-contact wines in the world. Pignolo, somewhat similar to Sangiovese, is a local grape that is much-loved by drinkers but feared by growers as it is notoriously finicky and low-yielding. The crushed agave fibers are fermented in open air pine vats using natural yeasts. The fermented agave is distilled twice in copper stills to yield a 45% ABV Espadin mezcal that is a highly approachable, versatile mezcal with a nice floral nose and pepper spice, and a clean, lightly smoky finish.

A straightforward sweetness from the cooked Blue Weber Agave and a delicious minerality and earthiness from the +450 ft deep well water. Oxygenated for a whole day for a softer, lighter, and buttery mouthfeel, making the flavors perfectly balanced.
