Matured in stainless steel vats to preserve all of its freshness and fruit. The Chardonnay grape is thus given full expression, offering a delicious fruitiness with notes of peaches, white pears and mango. The vineyard's altitude enables a good level of acidity to be maintained, resulting in tremendous freshness, which is highlighted by careful, precise maturing.

Turley Old Vines Zinfandel is composed of a variety of old sites from California that are either too small to be made into a vineyard designate wine, or are "new" to the Turley family (and way of farming). While they bring them up to speed as far as our rigorous farming practices go, in the mean time they make up the Old Vines blend. We found this 2007 in our basement recently and figured it had your name on it:)

Grapes for this wine are sourced from the certified organic vineyard, owned by Dick Fredericks, which was planted in 1937. Though technically within the Sonoma Valley appellation, the vineyard is actually located about 900 feet up along very steep contoured terraces. Turley feels lucky to work with this vineyard, as it is very rare to find hillside head-trained old vines.

A “natural” sparkling wine. With notes of tropical fruit, flinty minerality, apple skin and pear, lemon zest, and undeniable complexity.

Made from 100 year old garnacha vines. A powerful and concentrated wine with fine tannins and outstanding balance. A very tasty wine with a long and lively finish. Cellar it up to 4 years, but it is drinking brilliantly right now with grilled lamb chops or wild game.

Pierre Morey is considered to be one of the finest winemakers in Burgundy, with a fine winemaking pedigree. Saint-Aubin is the colour of sunshine, with golden highlights whose exact shade varies according to where it is grown and in what year. When young, it combines aromas of white flowers, flint, green almond, and orangeflower.

Red and dark cherries, other red fruits and blackberries, dark and red licorice, black pepper, full bouquet of spices, cedar box, very earthy, hint of menthol or pine in the finish. Complex and fun at the same time.

Medium-bodied with accentuated flavor of pear with good acidity and a fresh finish. Very ntense with scents of wildflowers and lime.

A nice deep, rich violet color. Almost opaque. Bouquet of lavender and dark berries. The forward palette is very soft with cassis type fruit. Green herbs, and sandalwood on the back end. The tannins are a bit grabby for a light texture. Some peppercorns on a lingering finish. The legs were very pretty and impressive. Paired with lamb pitas. Very enjoyable.

So beautiful. Crushed pepper tart berries rustic and elegant all at once. Cédric picks his fruit by hand and practices a traditional Beaujolais vinification. These are excellent wines: clean and pure, occasionally Burgundy-like on the nose despite the traditional fermentation.

This is one of my favorite expressions of Croze Hermitage I've tasted in some time. Lean and playful, there's no excess weight or heaviness on the palate. Instead, we're treated to a magnificent display of lavender, violets, black pepper spice and subtle bacon fat. It's a wine with the aromatic intensity cranked up to 10, but the drinkable remains extremely high too. Delicious!

The Pinot Noir is deep, dark purple in color with abundant red fruit and dark berry aromas and flavors. The ever-present underlying earthy character compliments its solid tannin structure and long fruity finish.

The Kruger-Rumpf winery was founded in 1790 and Stefan Rumpf began producing his own, estate wines rather than selling the juice off in bulk, as had been customary. Vineyards are farmed sustainably and care is taken during the hand harvesting to ensure that only optimally ripe grapes are picked, as Georg does not favor any botrytis.
