Warning...this could easily become your go-to white for spring and summer. A lively white from the southern shores of Lake Garda, with aromatics of wild flowers, green apple and almond. Similar flavors on the palate with wonderful minerality and acidity. The Ca' Maiol website suggests pairing with "slightly fatty boiled fish"...to us, Thai or Vietnamese sounds far better!

Fun factoid..."Valpolicella" translates to "the land of many cellars". This 2018 version is bright and youthful with aromas of violets and bing cherries. Intended to be consumed young, the wine is crisp and fresh with soft tannins and a clean finish. Best enjoyed on the back deck, maybe even with a slight chill, with antipasti and perhaps Fruition Farms Cacio Pecora.

This Elouan Pinot Noir is richer and more full bodied than what is typical of Oregon Pinot Noir, which generally is very lean. Bright ruby red in color. Ripe cranberry, sweet cinnamon and fresh cherry create an inviting bouquet, with a subtle earthiness. The palate shows texture and weight with firm acidity that carries the flavor through.

Vibrant ruby red with a dark core and deep purple hues. Sweet tobacco, blackcurrant, raspberry jam, cocoa powder and cigar box. Flavors of cherry, cranberry, raspberry tart and blackberry compote highlighted by notes of sweet cedar and baking spices. Opulent and satisfying, this medium-weight wine is balanced with bright acidity, integrated tannins and a lingering finish.

Bright purple. Powerful, spice- and smoke-tinged black and blue fruit aromas are complicated by deep licorice and mocha nuances. Lush and broad with tangy acidity lifting and focusing the concentrated blueberry and cassis flavors. The supple, spicy finish shows very good clarity and punch. This sexy, seamless wine delivers remarkable bang for the buck.

This cuvée is a selection of Nebbiolo from the younger vines of the various “cru” in Barbaresco supplemented by grapes from the neighboring village of Neive. The average age of the vines is 30 years. Beautiful raspberry and cherry notes with spice and that distinct peidmontese earthy tone.

Winemaker Bennett is a pioneering viticulturist who has introduced several wine grapes to Colorado, including some Portuguese and Spanish varietals. He began his career in the wine industry by helping to plant many of the West Slope vineyards before shifting to winemaking in the mid-1980s.

Wow, this opening aroma offers deep layers of caramelized onion, sauteed mushrooms, fungi, forest floor, oloroso sherry, toasted bread, lead pencil, salted caramel, saltwater taffy, textile fiber & walnut. Entry is rich, winey, sherried, toasted, lightly salted. Midpalate reveals salted fish, campfire smoke, charred meat, pork rind, bacon fat. lush finish.

Strong defined notes of dried bay leaf, seaweed, cabbage, starch, & dry stone. Bone dry herbal aromas point to a maritime local in Islay. 2nd whiff shows sandy beach, limestone, hemp rope, textile fiber, shellfish. Entry is piquant, nutty, w/tastes of dill, brine, pickles, almond paste, sea salt, palate cleansing acidity w/salinity. A wonderful display of melded flavors.

The nose is quite light, yet fragrant. Notes of fresh cereal and grist, some barley sweetness and a nutty note. Acacia honey creeps in with gentle warmth. The palate is very fruity with notes of Madeira and sweet stewed fruits. A hint of calvados and tannic oak. There is a freshness and roundness to this dram. Sweet honeyed notes with a grassy tinge. Firm & light.

Nose shows fresh hays of summer, malty cereal, rich creamy toffee and honeyed heather balanced with sweet oak and barley sugar. bright and fresh, with notes of citrus, pineapple, lemongrass, and subtle ginger, all on a bed of clean honeyed malt, light toffee and soft vanilla. The finish iscrisp and satisfying with a tingle of cloves which linger, then gently fade.

For peat lovers only. Pale straw, briny nose. On the palate, this is like a time-release smoke capsule—after a flash of sweetness, the smoke just keeps rolling on in waves. Water adds some softness and mitigates the smoke a bit. Bold & Masculine, The peat level is on the higher end of the scale at 55 parts per million.
