Most fruit is harvested on the south side of Gevrey (from vineyards like Les Justices and Les Seuvrées, the latter is bordering Charmes-Chambertin). Nice density the pinot way. Touch of oak. Lush finish. Energy is flowing in the right direction.

Tasting like a southern Rhone with its spicy, licorice and black raspberry/cassis-dominated bouquet, the inky-colored 2013 Bela Voda is medium to full-bodied, supple and sexy, with good acidity and a great finish. Made from equal parts Plavec and Vranec that was aged in 75% new barrels, it will drink nicely through 2020.

Straw gold with amber highlights and bright and joyful effervescence. The nose is vivacious and precise at first, progressively affirming and ample and complex structure. Young and tender fruity aromas – blackcurrant, wild blackberry and very ripe morello cherry – melded with vigorous freshly crushed citrus fruits. The finish offers discrete notes of vanilla, quince and acacia.

Lot 444 explodes with bright cherry and acacia flower and quickly opens up to reveal a core of spicy cherry pie, blackberry jam, and toasty oak, with top notes of graphite and wet stone. Aromas of dark chocolate and coffee emerge with a few more minutes of air. Rich, spicy and lush on the palate with deeply textured black fruits and toasty oak notes.

This wine pulls it all together for a full-bodied, full-flavored and well-balanced taste experience. It smells like fresh-cut oak in a good way, tastes ripe and fruity, yet at the same time is somewhat tart and dry like cranberry juice. It's rich, well made and could even improve through 2020.

This is the estate’s top cuvée, made primarily from century-old Grenache vines. It’s definitely concentrated, boasting punched-up levels of red plum and cherry. It’s brash & intense, with peppery, herbal notes above & leathery notes below that add complexity.

Founded by the Knights of Templar who were dedicated to protecting the Crusaders en route to, and in, the Holy Land. The first recorded harvest took place in 1256 and winemaking has continued uninterrupted throughout the centuries. The wine carries a pale rose color, a lovely fruit blossom nose and finishes crisply dry with a stony touch that gives it class and elegance.

From a single certified organic 3.5 ha vineyard planted on a moderately steep slope of mostly clay, located in the highlands of the province of Gipuzkoa, this is fermented with wild yeasts in small 3,000 liter steel vats, and raised on the lees for up to one year. It is bottled unfiltered and unfined. All CO2 is natural.

With almost 40 years of experience under their belt, Akutain produces classically-styled Rioja wines. Toasted coconut chips, dill, vanilla, tart cherry, baked plum, tobacco, dried thyme and sage, wet forest floor, black peppercorn, leather, and hints of dried rose petals.

Pale straw in color with aromas of ripe apricot and melon that blend with tropical guava and floral notes of jasmine and honeysuckle. Hints of honey and banana cream pie. Flavors open with juicy peach and mango, balanced by crisp citrus and passion fruit. A soft and full palate lingers with complementary sweet and tart layers.

Well rounded, and structured but approachable.

A rich garnet color with a ruby edge, the wine opens to reveal lifted fruit aromas of bright strawberry and jammy fruit, mocha & vanilla, along with toasty oak notes. Expressive boysenberry, blackberry, dark cherry, juicy strawberry and toasty mocha flavors lend complexity and depth on the palate. The well-integrated oak provides structure and depth seldom seen in Pinot Noir.
