"The 2014 is nimble, precise, and irresistibly delicious. Carema can be legendarily reticent in its extreme youth (despite an absence of brawny tannins), but this vintage begs to be enjoyed. Still, its bones are there; its soul is strong. It is a wine of relative delicacy, but adamantly not of weakness, and it will certainly make old bones as all great Carema does. "

Tullia Prosecco Brut is straw yellow in color. It has an intensely fruity and fresh bouquet, particularly reminiscent of spear wood flowers and wisteria, wild apple and mountain honey. The perlage is fine and persistent.

Aged both in French oak and stainless steel, this entry-level white is creamy in texture with a taste of lemon cream pie and vanilla swirls, the tannins tight and the oak present, though cradling. Fresh and fruity, this is a food-friendly, approachable wine.

I appreciate the tension of this Chablis: taut and linear, quite saline in the mouth and this serves to prolong the finish. This is a well-crafted and very delicious Chablis.

This Vinho Verde Rosé has a bright pink color. The aromas are fairly bursting with fresh red berries, such as strawberry and raspberry along with more subtle notes of citrus. The palate indicates a youthful but elegant, well-balanced and fresh wine with a long, lingering finish.

Chiaretto is the most famous name for rosé wines in Italy and can only be made from the Bardolino zone bordering beautiful Lake Garda in the Veneto region of northern Italy. The ‘lake effect’ makes the Corvina and Rondinella grapes more fruity, and perfect for the production of rose. Dry rosé wine, fruity, fragrant and delicate with aroma of peach-blossom.

This small batch Valpolicella is made primarily from Corvina and Rondinella grapes. This artisan producer grows, produces and bottles all their wines on their estate in the heart of the Valpolicella classico. Deep ruby red color with fresh perfume of berries and cherries.

Born in 1974 as one of the first expressions of Favorita—Piedmont’s inland take on Vermentino—Fallegro is grown far from the sea, in sandy soils and a continental climate that sharpen its edge. Aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries and cherries give way to a vibrant palate with notes of freshly-picked berries. At first a little grassier than last year, certainly more high-strung, lithe and brisk, but still entirely to form and with a high register of strawberry; there’s a crescendo of chalky solidity—the finish is the strongest element here, indicating it only needs time on the cork to settle into its depth. —Terry Theise
