Well-packed, showing black currant and blackberry fruit flavors, which are marked by bramble and savory accents and carried by fresh acidity through a finish that's scored by humus, tobacco and iron.

Gorgeous nose, full of dark bramble fruits and dark chocolate and flowers. Round and energetic with a core of intensely concentration blackcurrants, plums and black cherries. Beautiful bright and intense purple color with purple hues. The nose expresses candied, cherry and ripe fruit with grilled and elegant woody notes. The palate, supple and round on the attack, reveals a pretty fruity flesh with good tannins, round and tasty, which persist pleasantly in the finish.

The Denis family has been working these Chenin Blanc vines in the Loire Valley organically for over 100 years. The schist soil of the vineyard gives this wine a tight mineral edge. Aguerrido Cupreata is produced in Tepehuixco, Guerrero using Agave cupreata. Don Tomás cooks his agave in a pit oven, mills the cooked agave using a shredder, ferments the agaves with open air yeasts, and double distills in a copper alembic still. Guerrero is one of the least represented mezcal producing states due to the difficulties with narco-traffickers in the area.

Distilled from a traditional rye mash bill consisting of 51% rye and 49% corn. A high percentage of corn adds a nice rich sweetness that balances out the flavor notes of Rye’s big black pepper and cinnamon spice.
