Les Duresses is located on higher altitudes and poor soils, which contribute to it's acidity. (Very) moderate oak. Flint-like minerality, perfect ripeness, and shiny acidity create vibrancy and freshness, while a touch of creaminess and center the wine. Sourced from sites in Pommard, Volnay & Meursault as well as St-Romain and Monthelie; there is a touch of Vosne Romanée, rounding out an unapologetic homage to Burgundy. Leroux makes it clear that it is his aim to exceed expectations with his Bourgogne-level wines. Everything about this release fruit intensity, purity, structure is his symphony of Burgundy. Benjamin Leroux is a vibrant talent in Burgundy. This is a blend of two old vine and new vine parcels. Considering his pedigree from Comte Armand, this wine is a purchase without hesitation; balance, a rippling purple color; sensual fruit that stays in the red register, raspberry and ripe cherry.
