Nose: Full and rich with floral notes, tropical fruit, beeswax and hints of wood smoke.
Palate: Malt focused, with cinnamon and ginger spiciness, chocolate and tobacco.
Finish: Long and soft. Tobacco fades to leave spiced, stewed fruit.

Nose: Caramel, honey, and vanilla form the base of aromas. They’re complemented by toasted oak and baking spices.
Palate: Toffee, nutmeg, light oak, and tobacco create a foundation for the palate. Hints of vanilla and caramel come forth as well. The bourbon offers a nice mouthfeel, and there is a greater depth of flavor than the proof suggests.

Nose: Rich sweetness and fruits - oranges, lemons and pears, with sea-salt and peaty smokiness.
Palate: Mouth-filling late autumn fruits - dried figs and honey-sweet spices; followed by a smoky malty dryness.
Finish: Long, smooth-sweet finish with oak-wood, dryness and a grain of salt.

Nose: Rye strongly comes through and gives clear notes of vanilla bean, burned cinnamon, and allspice.
Palate: The rich butterscotch and toffee notes quickly morph into spice on the tongue, with notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and cracked pepper, likely from the presence of rye. Finish: While spice and char dominate, a silky caramel note is present.

Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, and finished in Marsala Wine Casks from Sicily. Color: Rustic Gold. Aroma: Light flurries of fruit and honey. Taste: Torrents of cocoa dust, flakes of red pepper and chunks of brazil nut toffee. Finish: Swirls of cinnamon, ginger and clove.

Aromas of ripe plum, nutmeg, cigar box, and vanilla bean leap out of the glass. The perceivable fruit on the palate, cherry torte, tamarind paste, strawberry jam, anise, nutmeg, and cinnamon spice, help develop a balanced and weighted mouth feel with good acidity and smooth velvet tannin that lingers.

Deep purple color. Aromas and flavors of plum butter, nutmeg, spiced raisins, molasses, and earl grey tea with a satiny, vibrant, fruity light-to-medium body and a smooth, stimulating, medium-length finish with moderate oak flavor. A solid Sonoma Cabernet that checks all the boxes.

The 2015 Deyrem Valentin has an intense bouquet with powerful black cherry and raspberry fruit, a light graphite and marine influence surfacing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannin, here a mixture of red and black fruit, quite corpulent in the mouth but with a very pure and lightly spiced finish. This is another impressive wine from this estate.

This elegant, medium-bodied wine features an attractive bouquet of cola, dried cherries and cranberries, and toasted brown sugar. Flavors of baked cherries, tobacco leaf follow with bright hints of cola on the lingering finish. Plums and strawberries with chocolate and cedar. Some fresh herbs. Full body, round tannins and a juicy finish. Chewy, yet so delicious.

Shatter comes from the small town of Maury in the Roussillon region of France. The hillside Grenache vines were planted over 60 years ago in 100% pure black schist, a slate-like, rocky soil common to the area. Though nutrient poor, it retains heat well, allowing the slow-ripening Grenache to reach full maturity through cool nights.

fruit-forward, supple, beautifully balanced style with lots of dark fruits, tobacco, peppery and floral notes, full-bodied richness, a great texture, and a clean finish. It's a terrific value and should drink brilliantly for 4-6 years.
