The region is unique and well-known for its cool and sometime foggy climate due to its close proximity to the ocean.

All fruit for our estate red was hand-picked; fermentation was allowed to begin spontaneously with native yeast. Each variety was fermented separately due to differing pick dates:As with all Forlorn Hope wines, no new oak is utilized, and nothing was added to the must or wine. On the palate is bright red fruits with a great acidity! This a delicious everyday wine. Super tasty!

1st press juice only, hand harvested and crushed gently. Fermented using native yeast. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in Inox tanks. Aged for 12 months sur lattes. Bottled 7g/ liter dosage. 2,500 cases produced. The result is a very pretty sparkling wine with notes of fresh strawberry.

The Famille Dutraive Selections was born out of necessity. Due to new erratic weather patterns the Dutraive Family had to source fruit from other growers in Beaujolais. Sourced from one of Fleurie's highest-altitude vineyard sites with granitic soil, 'La Tonne' a high-toned, seriously elegant expression of this village's noble terroir. Notes of tart raspberries highlighted by herbal notes of rose petal and black pepper. Best served lightly chilled.
