Dry red wine produced in Jerez, most famous for fortified sherry. Made from the nearly extinct Tintilla variety. Lurid ruby. Powerful, mineral-laced dark berry & floral pastille scents pick up hints of five-spice powder & woodsmoke as the wine opens up. Sappy & focused on the palate, offering intense black raspberry, bitter cherry & spice cake flavors.

Rodrigo Mendez began to revitalize these nearly extinct ancient coastal red vineyards by grafting & replanting these nearly forgotten varietals. Spicy, black pepper nose. Wild character of herbs & flowers. Palate is medium-bodied w/ supple tannins, a silky, fine texture & freshness. Long & tasty finish w/ a salty note.

Sustainably farmed vines planted in clay & limestone soils. Bright green-yellow. On the nose, high toned aromas of lemon, quince, green apple & sorrel are overlaid w/ sea spray & stony mineral notes. On the palate, puckering acidity & effervescence lend a practically gulpable appeal, w/ bright meyer lemon, apple & green herbs. Finishes salty & clean.

Crafted entirely from indigenous varieties, in the warmest & driest appellation of Galicia w/ minimal intervention. On the nose, beeswax, honeycomb, golden apple, wet stone. On the palate, Lemon & honeydew along with ripe apple & pear framed by stony minerals, lambswool & flowers. Mouth Filling & expansive. Beautifully balanced between fruit & mineral, weight & acidity.

At the edge of Quinta dos Murças’ boundaries, we find a valley formed by steep slopes. In this place, primarily north-facing and more protected from the sun, when the wind blows, we can hear it whistle.

The Estate PN pulls from almost all the Pinot Noir blocks in the McMinnville vineyard, making it a true representation of Yamhill Valley Vineyards’ terroir. Thanks to the geologic history and geographic location, their site is known for intense, enduring wines, grown with distinction. Red plum, blackberry, dried fig, Tahitian vanilla, rose.

Gorgeous and intense example of Chenin with great acidity and focus. La Petite Roche is a lieu-dit just west of the village of Savennières located on a gentle southern and southeastern oriented slope facing the Loire river. Here Damien has some younger vines of Chenin planted on sandy grey schist soils.

Red fruit with hints of spice on the nose. The palate is juicy and full but with good acid. This is a glou glou red wine! Manual harvest, direct pressing, indigenous yeast fermentation in concrete, and low SO2 at bottling

Reminiscent of a grapefruit, this wines texture has a tartness mashed up with semi-sweet pulp. Though this wine is bone dry, you have this feeling of spun sugar battling minerals with kaffir lime, green pear and lemon curd challenging the senses.

The final assemblage has a lovely depth and concentration of fruit, and is relatively tannic and structured in this vintage. It has plum and violet lift to the aromatic profile, and perhaps sacrifices a little elegance for power and potency in 2017 - not necessarily a bad thing, depending on your taste. A Clos des Papes for the depths of the cellar.
