A firm texture and big, earthy black-fruit flavors give this full-bodied wine plenty of presence. It tastes of blackberry, cranberry and dark chocolate while it feels tannic and grippy on the palate. Merlot and Petite Sirah are the two main components in the blend.

Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is one of Italy's most famous wines, and can be found on wine store shelves all around the world. This classic, well-rounded, plum-scented Italian red is made from Montepulciano grapes grown in the Abruzzo region, on Italy's Adriatic coast. Ripe raspberries on the nose with hints of dusty earth and dry tannins on the palate.

From the legendary Arianna Occhipinti, the Siccagno (which is both site name and dialect for "good wine") comes from two parcels on white limestone soils. The vines average 30 years old, are organically and biodynamically farmed and harvested by hand. Expressive of black fruits and spice, with hints of wildflowers, fresh herbs, and pipe tobacco.

Made from Vines a minimum of 20 years old. This small family owned estate grows their own grapes and makes their own wine. Aromas of clementines and fresh spring cherries. Flavors suggest crisp pears, lemons, brioche. Dry and refreshing. Serve with Parma ham, aged Parmigiano Reggiano, fresh fruit.

Bodegas Alión was formed in 1986 as a winery which would be run independently to its big brother, the great Vega Sicilia. Now, it stands as one of Spain (and the World's) greatest wines.Fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak vats, and the wine matured in new and second use French barriques for 12 to 14 months. It's quite ripe and powerful yet balanced and with great freshness.

The grapes, after a few days of carbonic maceration, were gently pressed, fermented in a concrete egg, then finished fermentation in bottle. The bottles were then riddled, disgorged, topped up, and sealed by hand. This is pure fermented grape juice without any addition of sulfites, acids, sugar, or yeast. On the nose the wine is clean, fruity, and yeasty. Intensely effervescent, it is an easily quaffable wine with its crystalline simplicity.

The Château de Cugat was constructed in the 1500s. Located in the small town of Blasimon, the Château stands upon a hill overlooking the village. The nose is rich, round and inviting, while dense blackcurrant, vanilla, spice and smoke notes converge on the supple full-bodied palate. The tannin is silky and well-integrated, the finish long and persuasive.
