Nebbiolo from two single vineyards in the village of La Morra, Bricco Manescotto and Annunziata, which accentuate the more ethereal and finer Nebbiolo’s aromatics and structure. These crus, that could be potentially used for Barolo, are declassified and the grapes vinified and aged to be Langhe Nebbiolo. A beautiful introduction to this noble grape and region.

Freshly cut flowers, red cherries and spices are some of the notes that emerge from this elegant, radiant Gattinara. There are no signs of greenness or hard edges anywhere in sight, yet the wine retains the mid-weight structure that differentiates Gattinara from other Nebbioli. This is supple, classy and engaging from start to finish.

This amazing rose made in the northern reaches of Piedmont offers a redolence of mountain air, fresh cut herbs, spicy red fruit and salty minerals.

A cross of Riesling to Pinot Bianco, Fontanasanta Manzoni Bianco is a wine that will begin to reveal itself fully after two or three years from vintage. It’s just exploding with yellow apple, white peach, perfectly ripe apricot and a brisk gust of mountain herbs and shattered stone. Fermentation on the skins in cement tank, followed by 12 months of aging in acacia casks.

The Tillerman red blend exhibits a deep purple and beet red hue, and notes of ripe berries, black cherry, and baking spices on the nose. Layered flavors of black currant and raspberry lead to a long finish of spice and dusty cocoa.

An electric expression of domestic Chenin Blanc from one of California's top Natural wine producers: Jaimee Motley. The aromatics flow through lanolin, fresh beeswax, and crimson gold apple skin. There are layers of dandelion flower tea and salt water taffy. The palate is broad and fleshy with a chewy mouthwatering acidity tamed down by a merino wool like texture.

Sancerre Tradition is intended as a classic expression of the appellation with aromas and flavors of citrus, fresh herbs, and elderflower. The wine’s medium weight and texture are lifted by firm acidity. Components of flint and limestone lend a strong mineral character to the finish, making it an appetizing wine for the table.

The color is deep purple, very intense, quite what you expect from Malbec. Plum, brambly berries, spices and an iris/violet note are apparent on the nose. Intense, fruity flavors with velvety tannins.

There's an attractive richness to the ripe stone and tropical fruit core of this wine, laced with hints of citrus peel and saline that shine on the finish. The medium-weight body is balanced by ample acidity, helping to preserve the wine's fresh and lively feel.

Fragrant and elegant, this opens with a textbook Nebbiolo bouquet showing scents of tilled soil, rose, wild red berry, Alpine herb and a whiff of new leather. The taut, vibrant palate evokes sour cherry, juicy strawberry, licorice and clove framed in refined tannins and bright acidity. It's balanced and gorgeous but still young, so give it several more years to evolve.

Pale straw-green. Knockout nose combines white peach, green apple, grapefruit, minerals, honey, flint and caraway seed. Very fresh, minerally and pure, with firm, penetrating flavors of citrus peel, grapefruit, peach and gunflint. Finishes bright and fresh, with brisk notes of dusty stone and nectarine. Outstanding entry level Verdicchio.

Extensive bunch sorting of the grapes formed part of the
quality management process. The grapes were whole bunch
pressed and barrel fermented for 14 days. Maturation took
place in 225 L 40% new French barrels for 10 months. No
batonage or malolacic fermentation took place, in order to
retain freshness

There's too much to say about this wine but I'll start with noting that it's not only California's Greatest and most Historic Cabernet, but one of the finest and most collected in the world. It's also a wine that's immune to misguided trends and fads, with it stylistically remaining consistent over the last four decades. This is a iconic wine and vital to any serious collector. This elegant, legendary vintage shows intense fruit, limestone earth, and firm acid. It will be enjoyable over the next 15 to 30 years.
