Bright onion peel color. Intense aroma of strawberry, pink grapefruit, white pepper and floral notes, like rose petals. Very fresh and elegant in the mouth, displays balance and roundness. Ripe black-skinned fruit, underbrush, truffle and dark spice aromas come together in this full-bodied red. The palate is firm and seamless, delivering mature black cherry, raspberry compote, licorice and pipe tobacco flavors with both power and finesse. Tightly knit, polished tannins provide structure. Drink 2022–2032.

Dark mahogany in colour with green-amber edge. It offers vibrant notes of maple syrup, brown sugar, shoe polish, raisin and chocolate beer nuts, all very well integrated. On the palate it is smooth and rich at the beginning, full of prune and burned oranges peel flavors. Provocative spicy notes appear just before its nuttiness and terrific acidity cuts through the sweetness.

Light amber in color. It is nutty and dry with nuances of vanilla, mocha and dark chocolate. Dry and very concentrated, this wine has a
long and elegant finish.

Black plums aromas with minty and green olive character. Balanced palate with a medium body, chewy tannins, and ripe plums. Savory finish. Well made. A classic blend that is always excellent. Blend of 67% cabernet sauvignon, 14% merlot, 12% cabernet franc and 7% petit verdot.

This expressive red offers kirsch, toasted vanilla and bitter chocolate flavors, with pomegranate acidity and accents of fresh herbs. Features a silky texture, with well-integrated tannins and a racy finish. A modern, fruit-driven style. Drink now through 2021. 10,000 cases made.

Syrocco is produced by legendary vigneron Alain Graillot. He stumbled upon these vineyards and the Thalvin winery while bicycling in the Zenata region of Morocco between Casablanca and Rabat. This gorgeous area is an organic dream, with cool winds blowing off the Atlantic and no polluting industries whatsoever

This is also wonderfully fresh and cool with a similar array of fruit and floral elements though here the earth element is a bit more pronounced. As is typically the case there is more volume and mid-palate concentration to the focused medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by somewhat finer tannins on the lacy and impressively refined finale

Paler in colour, this has a really classy, classic fruit on the nose. It has great acidity, cherries and raspberries abound. One to keep.

Robert Parker called the Martinelli family "one of the great families of Northern California, & of course, one of the highest quality producers. The 2013 "Vigneto di Evo" Zinfandel has aromas of dark red fruit, Bing cherries, and hints of conifer & rose petal. The palate is medium weight with flavors of sour cherry, raspberry, & red plum skin, with a slightly earthy finish.
