Erste+Neue, a significant contributor to the history of wine growing in Alto Adige for over a century, was established in 1986. 100% cold climate Nebbiolo, a very fruity, fragrant and rich wine. Its bouquet is the result of a particular vinification using only intact and perfectly wholesome grapes, combines with other lightly pressed grapes, according to an old Valtellina tradition. Only the wine from the best vintages is selected to age for 6 months. Delicious now but definitely will cellar.

Deep cherry is the main flavor theme here, with spice and iron accents. Fresh and firmly structured, with chestnut and tobacco elements from the oak. Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Drink now through 2023.

A single-vineyard field blend from the Old Hill Vineyard in Sonoma. This site has been continuously under vine for more than 130 years old. The Bambino comes from the Old Hill's youngest vines, which were planted in 1998. Fermented on native yeast, aged 10 months in neutral French oak. Dark, spicy fruit with great vivacity.

Firm and distinctive, with a muscular tannic backbone that adds some appealing tension to the dark spiced plum and tobacco notes. An edge of acidity keeps the flavors energetic and lively. Drink now through 2023.

Who knew the some of the best Petit Sirah's come from Colorado? This grape fits the winemakers style perfectly. Huge, full bodied wine with power and structure. Amazing purity throughout... No sulfites, no filtering, no new oak. This is a serious wine that's overlooked. I'd put it up against any California Petit at this price or higher.

Intense garnet in colour with ripe cherries, herby and earthy aromas. A warm and dry sour cherry palate in the fore, with loads of intensity of raisins and sultanas and a rich fresh soft tannic finish.

Structured and focused, this gorgeous wine offers enticing scents of pressed violet, woodland berry, baking spice, tilled soil and leather. The firm palate delivers ripe black cherry, licorice, mint, tobacco and ground clove alongside youthfully assertive but refined tannins. Give this time to fully develop—it should blossom into a beauty. Drink 2018–2026.

The nose shows citrus and a slightly lifted, aromatic touch of conifer. The palate is taut and slender, presenting clean citrus flavors. This stands upright and has a wonderful backbone of freshness. It's refreshing now and promising in the future. The finish is so subtly fruited that this will be worth the wait. Drink now through 2030.
