These old vines have produced an excellent and quite classic Morgon in 2014, wafting from the glass in a fine aromatic blend of black cherries, cassis, fresh thyme, campfires, a superb base of dark stony soil tones, incipient autumnal notes and a whisper of cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with lovey focus and grip, fine transparency.
