Jolie-Laide is a one-man operation based in a Sebastopol winery. Winemaker Scott Schultz makes only 500 cases of wine a year under his own label. Pierre has been farming and making wine in Bourgueil since 1979, in the village of Benais. He, his wife, Catherine, and his son, Rodolphe, do all of the work by hand. Certified organic since 2000. Bright salmon pink hue; aromas include watermelon rind, grapefruit, lemon blossom, Satsuma orange. In the mouth- bright, moderate acidity that hits up front and carries through to the back, then leads to a round, enjoyable finish.
