The nose is somehow organic, mixing aromas of dried roses, decayed wild strawberries, raspberries and a hint of leaves; it is a little musky, cleaner than previous vintage with some earthy aromas that are focused and precise. The palate is light to medium-bodied with moderate acidity, but the wine is still fresh. Ideal with white meat, charcuterie and lighter food.

This is a fresh and aromatic vino tinto with notes of spice, smoky minerals, and dark fruits – to pair with roasted meats, spicy foods & wild game. The parcels are very old and planted right on the Atlantic Ocean. the vines grow untrained, the soil is worked by hand, and no chemicals are used. The wine is wild yeast fermented with 30% whole grape clusters.

From Gembres Vineyard, the bodega’s highest altitude, (650m) planted in 1986 and Manzanera Vineyard (490m) planted first in 1975. Only produced in exceptional years, this Gran Reserva is light ruby in the glass, powerful and compact with complex notes of sweet red fruits, balsamic, soy, vanilla and earth. Full bodied, direct and very long on the finish. Can lay down for years or be enjoyed now!

Warm, earthy spice notes make their way into the nose of this Pinot Noir. It exhibits fruit-forward characteristics of blackberry, cherry, and cranberry. The wine boasts big fruit flavors along with bright acidity and a smooth, silky finish. This wine is a classic Russian River Pinot in character and can be paired with a wide variety of dishes.

Freedom Hill consistently delivers intense smoky, black fruit and brown spice aromas with just a hint of violet. Palate is medium weight with round, ripe tannins leading to a savory pit cherry, blackberry finish. Lots of power, but never lacking in finesse. Fermentation is done with ambient yeasts and then aged for 15 months in barrel, all French oak with 40% new oak.

The grapes received a short overnight soak on skins and then went directly to the press. Juice was transferred to neutral barrels and fermentation occurred spontaneously. The wine received a bit of sulfur in the late spring and again at bottling. The wine has a nutty, wet stone nose, and a weighty palate of lemon oil, crushed rocks, with just a bit of pastry cream.

Here’s a Nebbiolo blend etched by an extinct volcanic terroir of red-brown porphyritic sand. The addition of the varieties Croatina and Vespolina add resonance and spice to the wonder that is Nebbiolo, while the volcanic soils and more northerly latitude give wines of a particular elegance, perfume, and refreshment compared with the more powerful Nebbiolo from Barolo.

It’s the most singular and rare wine of Valtellina. It is made after a long wilting of nebbiolo grapes left to dry on racks until February where they lose 40% of their water content. This wine dry red has full body, great structure and warmth. It is elevated for 18 months in oak tonneaux and achives over time a great level of excellence. It is elegant, harmonic and fascinating.

Full of concentration and intensity, this wine will tease, tantalize and linger long after the last sip is gone. Wild berries, black pepper and hints of juniper are framed by the influence of oak aging with baking spices with a hint of toasty vanilla. On the palate, the entry is explosive, supportedby chewy, chalky tannins that will age this wine for decades. 4 bottles in one!

This Cabernet dominant blend is bursting with flavors of ripe black cherries, blackberries, boysenberries, cassis, white pepper, and sage. The wine is aged for 20 months in a combination of new and used French and American Oak barrels lending subtle accents of toasty vanilla and cocoa powder with a firm tannic structure. Enjoy this wine on it’s own around a fire place on a cold winter night, or with steaks, stew’s, Lamb and Pork Chops.
