Daughter of famous French winemaker Alphonse Mellot, Emmanuelle Mellot is walking in her father’s footsteps by starting to make wines of her own. She works with growers and winery partners to source grapes grown throughout the Loire region. The sourced grapes for this wine are from vineyards with organic practices, though not certified organic.

Fermented using carbonic maceration in stainless steel tank, then pressed into a mix of ceramic tinaja, stainless steel tanks, and used French oak barrels. A beautiful balance of crunchy fruit with some savory dried herbal notes and food-friendly structure. Red currants, cranberry and raspberry fruits combine with sage and rosemary and fine-grained tannins.

The vineyard is named "Vigna I Tulipani" for the hundreds of wild tulips which grow throughout the vineyard in early spring every year. Has a nose of classic Sangiovese with notes of violets, red and fresh black fruit, and balm with hints of licorice and graphite.
