Nose is slightly fruity with a floral background. Taste is also muted fruit with undertones of floral and grass. If this is 80+ IBU, it is well hidden. Mouthfeel is thin but not unpleasant. Finish is sweet and melds to a nice bitter. This IPA is eminently drinkable.

Black opaque milkshake body, deep brown velvety head, which is much appreciated on a beer of this potency. Smell is whiskey and mild alcohol burn, countered but not quite balanced by roasty yet sweet malt and dark chocolate. Bitter. Flavor plays three card monte with the tongue: it's a fun, dazzling task to give order to the bitter chocolate.

This is from a selection of vineyard parcels within the Entre-Deux-Mers Region, a Merlot Cabernet blend which is matured in a mix of stainless steel and oak, creating a balance of freshness and texture rather than oak per-se. Very approachable from the outset and at its best with food.

Outstanding, offering up excellent depth, soil signature and purity. The top flight bouquet jumps from the glass in a blend of lemon, lime, a touch of pear, salty ocean air, wet stones and incipient notes of lemongrass and dried flowers. On the palate the wine is fullish, pure and vibrant, with a superb core of fruit, lovely focus and grip, bright acids and seamless balance.

Aromas of spring flowers, plums, cassis, orange rind and wood smoke introduce the 2017 Morgon Côte du Py, an ample, full-bodied wine with juicy acids, fine tannins and excellent concentration, its largely concealed structural chassis only asserting itself on the long, tangy finish. The most incipiently complex member of Burgaud's Grands Cras, Charmes and Côte du Py trio, it will reward a few years of patience.

Bright, deep cherry-red in color, with a light brick rim. Intense, elegant and complex aromas, with outstanding balsamic, vanilla, coconut, chocolate and truffle wrapped around a core of candied fruit. Well-balanced in the mouth, with elegant acidity and fine, silky, enveloping tannins. A long and complex finish, with hints of roasted coffee, spices, and candied fruit.

Color is pale straw yellow with green hues, a pronounced aromatic note of freshness and persistent hints of citrus, white flowers, white fruit and aromatic herbs. Tons of acidity and freshness.

One does not have to be an experienced enophile or a wine geek to enjoy this one, though some will say it helps. Just order up a plate of the freshest sashimi and enjoy! Medium straw in color; aromatic of flowers and tropical fruits, hmm, I think someone is slicing a mango in the kitchen; medium bodied, soft and endearing on the palate; dryish, soft acidity, nicely balanced.

This famous grape of Friuli was entirely destroyed by Phylloxera in the early 1900’s. Thought to be completely lost for almost 50 years, a medical doctor with a passion for horticulture found 3 surviving plants and re-cultivated this lost variety. The wine has a spicy peppery characteristic that reminds people of the wines of the Rhone valley in France.
