The entry of the wine is soft and delicate, but quickly evolves into a serious mid-palate replete with opulent and concentrated flavors of dark fruits. This wine shows beautiful spice and dark fruit from the cool climate estate grown Syrah, while the blending components soften the mouthfeel and brighten the wine with high tone fruits. The wine sees 10% new french oak for 16 months and is our most popular red wine. The Carignane comes from 140 yr old vines. 750 cases produced.

This ultraripe, happy Cab Franc bursts on the scene with jammy blackberry and raisinated cherry aromas. The mouthfeel is lush, almost syrupy. Flavors of ultraripe blackberry, cassis and loamy earth finish warm, lusty and with chocolate and coffee notes.

The initial whiff of this wine combines chalk, passion fruit and a milky floral overtone. The palate wraps these notions in fine, ripe lemon zestiness, focusing on midpalate texture rather than fruit. The body is rounded and yeasty, with a lovely, lemony, chalky depth that lends coolness. The finish is all bright, long, soothing lemon.

Smoky, deeply pitched dark berry compote, licorice and bitter chocolate scents show very good clarity, picking up a sexy floral note with aeration. Stains the palate with intense black and blue fruit flavors, with a lavender pastille quality emerging on the back half. At once rich and energetic on the finish, which clings with excellent tenacity and smooth tannins.

This wine exhibits a bouquet of orange-blossom, white flower, apricot, and melon. The palate is clean with a nice mineral undertone. The year was marked by an early budbreak (early April) and by warm spring weather with intense rainfall over the second half of May. June and July were hot and sunny, while August was cool and wet. A dry September with considerable night-day temperature swing created the conditions for excellent ripening and the making of top-quality, rich and elegant wines.

Dark ruby red. Musky aromas of redcurrant, tobacco and fresh herbs. Dense and almost like a claret in character, with redcurrant fruit complicated by leafy, herbal and spicy nuances. Nicely integrated acidity gives this vinous wine a serious touch. Finishes dry and classic, with the dusty tannins of a midweight Cabernet Franc.

Traditional “saignée” method is used – where the crushed red grapes undergo a 10 hours cold soak until the desired color is achieved. Dry, round and full of finesse. Very aromatic with aromas of red berries and citrus. An elegant, balanced mouthfeel is marked by firm acidity.

From Russian River Valley, the heart of Sonoma, comes the L’Oliveto Pinot Noir Rose. The nose has inviting aromas of cherry fruit and flowers, followed by a juicy palate of red berries and crisp acidity. Voluptuously textured, this rose is great to enjoy all year long.

This terroir wine comes from the Bela Voda region which is composed of clay soils enjoying soft Mediterranean climate. As a blend of the Vranec and Plavec varieties, this wine exhibits cocoa and wild black fruit aromas as well as a rich fruity structure.
