It’s safe to say that land of Montenidoli has NEVER seen the use of systemic chemicals. The 2020 Colorino is deep, fleshy and wonderfully expressive. Cedar, sweet pipe tobacco and earthy notes give the 2020 striking aromatic nuance. There is good depth too, but not the heft often found in this indigenous variety.

Pernand Vergelesses's terroir couldn’t be better. It’s a small appellation at the foot of the legendary hill of Corton. Some of Corton Charlemagnes’ vineyards are in Pernand. Pernand also has great producers, like Domaine Rollin. Rollin has always been particularly great for anyone interested in Burgundian terroir as their light touch with oak lets the wine shine.

This cuvée is from the original terroir of the monastery vineyards on north-facing limestone slopes, where the vines are over 30 years of age. The grapes are hand harvested and sorted both in the vineyard and the cellar. A mere 720 bottles are available to the US each vintage, which is barely enough to tide us over!

Boillot’s emerging position in Burgundy is not accidental. Despite having only launching his domaine in 2002, he is armed with some of the oldest, best situated vineyards in Burgundy. Dark berries and fresh flowers, such as violets, follow through to a medium body with fine tannins and a delicious finish. Just a hint of chocolate and walnut at the end. Aged 12 months in new oak barrels. 20% French, 80% American. The wine is then aged 6 months in the bottle before release.

We dry farm our CCOF certified organic grapes (no irrigation), cultivate cover crops in the winter and allow our farm animals into the vineyard at certain times to graze. Once the grapes are in the winery, we practice natural winemaking, which means minimal intervention. We let fermentation take place with naturally occurring yeasts, we never add sulfites or any other additives

Christina Netzl is a female winemaker in Austria, following in the footsteps of generations of family before her; dating back to 1650. She loves nature and beneficial insects, and this is showcased on the bottle. One of the grapes she grows is called Zweigelt, native to Austria, this grape presents a light, succulent rosé that you’ll want to drink the all seasons.

Casa de Velacetinho is located in the southern most part of the region, close to the River Duoro. The slight effervescense feels more like soft bubbles and is quite refreshing. Aromas of white fruits and tropical notes lead to beautiful white fruit flavors and nice lengths of acidity. Absolutely enjoyable to drink at any moment.
